Bentonville Showcase

Great night of basketball last night, featuring 3 games with teams from 3 states.

First game: Putnam City (OK) West defeated LR Mills.  Good game, but PCW just had too much depth for Mills to handle.  Mills does have a highly ranked Jr that will be very tough to stop. 

2nd game: Maumelle defeated Columbia (MO) Hickman by around 20 points.  Maumelle's overall speed and athleticism was impressive.  #1 for Maumelle is an ahtlete; he was all over the court.  They will make noise in their conf.  CH was down without JWhitt.  Had some talent, but couldn't keep up with pace in this one.

Final game: Bentonville ended Mustang, OK's 28-game winning streak.  Was really cool to see top teams from both states play.  Both stars played at the expected level.  #1 for Mustang is an Iowa St commit, and is a shooter.  I think he ended the night with 34 points, and he has size for a 2-guard.  Mustang had another D1 guard that is being looked at by Tulsa and Houston; solid player.  For Bentonville, Malik took control down the stretch as Mustang rallied; he ended the night with 46 points.  Bentonville has severall solid role players that hit the shots they needed to hit.
