Week 2 has come and gone, and I went 5-3 on the week.  Over all my record is 12-4.  Now it's time to get back to picking all the winner's for the week.

Mineral Springs (0-2) is OPEN
Mineral Springs lost to England 52-33.  The Hornets has been scoring a lot of points these past 2 weeks, bad thing is, they have giving up a lot also.  Look for Jason Burns to take this week to work on his defense.  Conference starts next week, and the Hornets will be ready.

Spring Hill (0-2) at Genoa Central (0-2)
The Bears lost to Parkers Chapel 31-6, while the Dragons lost to Lafayette County 40-6.  SH won last year 14-0.  The Bears are still trying to find the Endzone more than once a game.  Poor tackling and turnovers last week are not a winning combination.  They need to get all this fixed or hard times are still ahead.  The Dragons are also looking for some consistency.  Losing by 1 point 2 weeks ago, and only scoring 1 time last week.  If things don't change for both teams, look for a very long season for both team's fans.  OMR is going with Spring Hill 8-6.

Glen Rose (0-2) at Gurdon (0-2)
Glen Rose lost to Bauxite 28-3, while Gurdon lost to Smackover 41-8.  They did not play last year.  Glen Rose is sitting at 0-2 and has only scored 3 points all season.  That's unheard of for a Mark Keener led team.  After reaching the 3A Finals last year, this years team is struggling.  Gurdon has yet to give Kyle Jackson his 1st win.  But playing 3A Prescott and Smackover has a lot to do with that.  Now they play a down GR team.  The Go-Devils has plenty of speed, but depth is really hurting them.  Which team gets their 1st win.  OMR is going with Gurdon 21-18.

Centerpoint (0-2) at Murfreesboro (2-0)
The Knights lost to Magnet Cove 20-3, while the Rattlers beat Horatio 6-0.  Centerpoint won last year 48-20.  The Knights reaching the Play-Offs last year and are not starting the season off like they had hoped for.  Now they have to play a good Ratters team.  This will not help them for confidence coming up if they lose this week.  The Ratters are flying sky high right now.  After a hard earned win last week, they will build on that against a down Knights team.  Conference season is starting soon and the Rattlers are looking forward to it.  OMR is going with Murfreesboro 35-7.

Mount Ida (1-1) at Mountain Pine (0-2)
The Lions lost to Danville 28-14, while the Red Devils lost to Dierks 47-14.  Mount Ida won last year 42-6.  The Lions had a hard week last week.  Being down, then coming back, to only let the game slip away in the end.  Now they get an always down MP team on the road.  This shouldn't be much of a game.  The Red Devils are playing their 2 7-2A team in 2 weeks.  They will be glad when this ends.  The 7-2A teams hasn't been very nice to them.  And this week won't be any diffenent.  OMR is going with Mount Ida 42-6.

Smackover (1-1) at Lafayette County (2-0)
The Buckaroos beat Gurdon 41-8, while the Cougars beat Genoa Central 40-6.  They did not play last year.  Smackover is kind of tired playing 2A schools.  This will be their 3 team in a row.  They may look past this game, and looking forward to playing Fouke next week, but don't bet on it.  They should get to rest the starters this week.  The Cougars are undefeated for the 1st time in a while.  Now their undefeated season comes to an end.  Nothing against LC, I didn't schedule Smackover.  OMR is going with Smackover 42-6.

Horatio (0-2) at Foreman (1-1)
The Lions lost to Murfreesboro 6-0, while Foreman lost to Fouke 30-0.  Horatio won last year 27-26 last year.  Horatio are starting out on hard times this year.  Mark King will have to hammer his team this week to help them get a win.  He's knows what it takes to win, he just has to get his team to believe him.  After Week 1 performance, by passing all over Genoa, the Gators had a rough time last week.  Being shut out by Fouke does not set well with them and their fans.  This week will probably not set too well with the fans either, if they don't get a win.  OMR is going with Foreman 14-8.

The 7-2A Game of the Week
Fouke (2-0) at Dierks (2-0)
Fouke beat Foreman 30-0, while Dierks beat Mountain Pine 47-14.  They did not play last year.  Fouke is 9-4 over the last 2 years for Coach Barker.  Now they get the 1st test of the Season, before they open Conference play against Smackover.  The Panthers are feeling good about themselves, and will try not to let "The Hollar" stop that feeling.  What a great challenge for the Panthers to play a good Outlaw team.  The Outlaws has really not been challenged so far this season.  Beating a JV team and a bad MP team has fans around SW Arkansas questioning how good is Dierks.  Not OMR, when David Bennett is coaching a team, you can bet he will have his team playing up to their best every week, or they won't be on the field.  The Outlaws need this game, and it couldn't come at a better time.  They open conference play next week with Gurdon.  At the start of the year, people thought next week's game is for the Conference Championship.  But the way the Go-Devils has played, and who they played, it may not be too much of a game.  OMR is going with Dierks 21-20.

So there it is Sport Fans, let me know what you think, and who you think will win.  OMR OUT!!!!

Yeah there wasnt any dis-respect there Smackover is really good. I cant speak for OMR but i would imagine when LC plays Spring and Foreman he will show them some love as long as Burks is healthy at that time i for sure will pick them to win them 2 games.

Oh of course smackover is a good team with great athletes..not taking anything from them and looking forward to seeing them in person this friday to see what everyone else see. Good Luck to your Outlaws this week.

OMR...I have to correct you.  Smackover beat Gurdon 41-18 (not 41-8).
