   Both teams coming off big week 1 wins ... Hampton will be fielding it's best team in years ... I don't know what Hampton needs to work on , but the Bears need to work on their pass game on both sides of the ball offense and defense ...

Hampton hasn't done anything. They beat a team that hasn't won a game in 4 years. They thought they could stay with us last year and it ended up 42-0. This game will be probably end up 48-0. As for our pass game, what pass game. All we did was run the ball.

I wasn't at the game , I was just going by listening on the laptop ... I didn't think we threw very many passes ... I knew the run game was clicking , with the big runs by Jamond and Devontae and it sounded like Joseph Smith ran hard ...  O-line must have been blocking pretty good ...

Simply an observation while broadcasting the game and talking with coaches.  The gameplan was to run.  I believe our passing game will develop but why pass when you can run almost at will.  We have several backs who can run hard, fast and with power.  Stick with what works.  I could be wrong but just my opinion.

Bearden had 457 yards rushing versus a pretty good Harmony Grove defense. hampton will have their hands full friday night.

   Cuz has a good point ... and I believe the Bears pass game will develop over time ... There's no doubt Jamond has an accurate arm and I hear Keairon Nelson has the potential to be a go to receiver and others could step up too ... like 72501 says that was the game plan for game 1 ... game 2 and on we will might see a few more pass plays ... but we may want to keep a few plays secret

You better watch it talking about him, you will have the Hampton faithful on you. They were on me before last season when they were saying how he was going to be the saving grace of Hampton high and I politely told them he sucked and he does.

When posters from Des Arc and Junction City or any other school get on a Bearden and Hampton thread and bash a Coach they will be called out ... I know you "Pick" don't like Ables because he was a former Coach at DA ... I don't know why "Truth" dislikes Ables , but maybe when JC plays Hampton in a few weeks he will tell us on the JC / Hampton thread why ... I was just asking in a nice way to take your personnel problems you have with a Coach elsewhere ... I see someone started threads on both you guys , so I thought you might want to start one on Coach Ables ...

Bearden is just fine on pass defense Harmony Grove saw a miss match and gashed Bearden for yardage on 2plays. Bearden coaches made adjustments and stoped the threat.

Reading an article in the Camden News ... Bearden did have 4 interceptions on defense , and only gave up 1 offensive TD and that was late in the 4th quarter , so overall it sounds like the Bears defense had a good game against a pretty good HG team which does have a good QB and some big receivers ...

Well from what I saw during scrimmage, Bearden has some athletes, that seem to be able to adjust to different styles of play.  Think that Bearden is on their way back up to the top of the charts.  So with that being said I'm going with Bearden on this one.

   Bearden scored again don't know details 35-0 , then mercy rule clock starts and Hampton scores on backups as the half ends ... still no clock or pressbox ,etc ... Halftime Bears 35  Dogs 7 ...  Question , will the mercy clock still run in the second half or since they got it to below 35 will the 2nd half clock run as normal until the 35 point spear is reached again ?

Really concerned for player safety when only half of the field is lit and the shadows it cast! There where injuries on both sides of the ball.
