Good day ladies and gentlemen the longestnameeveronFearlessFriday would like welcome you to the newest and best predictions in the state of Arkansas. A long time reader first time poster. This evening the longestnameeveronFearlessFriday will start with his top 10 and early picks for how he thinks the 1-4A will finish.
Preseason 4A Top 10
1. Warren- DUH. Fingers are crossed a couple Jacks will call them hogs some day.
2. Arkadelphia- The defending champs could easily be 1 as can number 3 here...
3. Robinson- All 3 of these top teams could be switched around as most have already pointed out before.
4. Prairie Grove- longestnameeveronFearlessFriday is big on the tigers and how well Coach Abshier keeps the wing t alive.
5. Gosnell- The pirates are off of back to back conference championships and thanksgiving days practices. Don't be surprised to see those sails on Black Friday again.
6. Rivercrest- The defending 3A champs are coming back to 4A after being gone a little while. They have the play makers and size but can they stay healthy? Also will a new HC make much difference.
7. Pea Ridge- 9 defensive starters returning could mean good things come November.
8. Southside Bville- The southerners could be making their first ever appearance on turkey day this year.
9. Nashville- Off of an odd 8-4 year can the Scrappers get it back to 10 this year?
10. Stuttgart- You kinda get this feeling that the Ricebirds are on the brink of a big playoff run under Coach Price. He had 3 with 2 or more wins at Dardanelle so when will it finally happen down south?

1-4A
1. Prairie Grove: How can you not pick the tigers? They have only not won the conference once in the last 6 years. I expect anywhere between 8-10 regular season wins with 1-3 possible playoff wins.
2. Shiloh: The Saints are missing the glory days when they owned NWA in the small schools. They could be rising back up though...we shall see. A tough opener in 6a Texarkana. 7-9 regular season wins, 1-2 possible playoff wins.
3. Pea Ridge: The Hawks bring back 9 guys off a defense that gave up 20 points a game. The question is where will the offensive points come from though? The loss of multiple 3 year starters will show early in the longestnameeveronFearlessFriday's opinion as they play 3 5A west schools. Farmington should be a win but the other 2 may be losses. 7-9 regular season wins with possibly 1-2 playoff wins.
4. Lincoln: The longestnameveronFearlessFriday's sleeper pick in this conference are the Wolves up on the hill on HWY 62. Coach Harrison has been building year by year the right way to do things. After missing the playoffs the past 2 seasons the wolves will be back this year. Even as the 4 seed cause they're gonna upset gravette week 4 at home. 5-7 regular season wins with a post season appearance.
5. Gravette: The loss of 2 legendary coaches calling the offense and defense will affect the lions some. But Coach Harrelson always taught hard work and thats what Coach Greenwood will not have worry about. They gotta find a way to move the football this year through the air though. 4-6 regular season wins and a post season appearance.
6. Gentry:Pioneers bring back some WRs but lose too much to graduation.
7. Berryville
8. Green Forest

PRhog13. I think they are just counting it as y'all "tied" for the conference last season.

Maybe? But that would be pretty silly to try and claim that one.

longestnameeveronFearFrid

The longestnameeveronFearlessFriday is back with some more great predictions this evening. Personally the longestnameeveronFearlessFriday thinks the 2-4A conference will shape up as it has the past 2 years. A tie for 1st place.

2-4A
1A. Stuttgart: As Coach Price enters his 3rd year I believe this will be his best yet. Have watched him for years when he was a sand lizard, his offense has always been very multiple with numerous formations. That takes time to learn and get set in stone.  Weeks 3&4 they host Warren and SS Bville. I think they come out of it 1-1 but with a 1-2 score close loss to Warren. 7-9 regular season wins with a chance to practice on turkey day.
1B. Southside Batesville: In the day and age of fast pace internet and cars Coach Kenny Simpson may have been fired a few years ago when he went 0-10 in his 3rd or 4th year as HC. But the Southerners stayed the course and knew the wins were coming. Now with a strong seasoned senior class and a little size up front the Southerners take on Warren week 1 in the Hootens Classic. To take down the Goliath of Warren though you gotta have great mental toughness and physical toughness. IF... SS is able to pull off the upset it will only be because of a week 1 match up not week 10+.
3. Lonoke: The longestnameveronFearlessFriday sleeper pick in this conference is the Jackrabbits. They may take some lumps with a super sophomore class playing in some games but they could surprise some folks too. If there is a tie this season then it will be because the rabbits upset one of the top 2 teams.
4. Heber Springs: Even though Coach Janski left a few years ago the solid foundation he laid has stayed strong. Panthers will be back in the playoffs.
5. CAC: Mustangs tried that wing t stuff and found out real quick it didn't fit them. Lets be real here CAC has run the spread for what 15+ years now?
6. LR Mills
7. Riverview
8. Bald Knob
