While getting ranked nationally is an awesome accomplishment, I means absolutely nothing. They have a good team and now a reason to get better. Losing to a good team by 1 run, nothing to get excited about. They are human after all.

Congrats to the Southside Batesville Lady Southerners. They won the Ozark Classic held in Harrison Saturday. They beat Viola 6-3, shutout Elkins 6-0 and beat 2-4a conference foe Lonoke in the finals 4-2 to improve there record to 12-3. Only losses the Southerners have had was to Midland, Harding Academy and Pocahontas in very close games earlier in the season.

Fairly easy? GCT was leading the first game 6-4 in the 6th. Game two was tied 4-4 going to the 7th. Paragould did not win "easily" and I didn't see them get lazy.  Defensively, GCT did not make the plays at the end in either contest, Paragould did. The conference belongs to them.
