Potential great 1st round match ups for both girls and boys.
On the boys side it appears to be wide open. I don't see any team as "the team" to beat.
what about loser of McGehee/Drew Central possibly playing Tuckerman 1st round

It's likely a top team will fall in the first round. Unless Tuckerman goes to sleep this afternoon against Glen Rose. Or is too busy licking their wounds over the loss to Harding to focus on taking care of business.
Drew Central loses in the first round to Tickerman which upgrades parking situation to Suck.

Oldman, it looks like that in addition to being a wit, you may be a prophet. Drew Central, he all-powerful for-certain state champs, lost to McGehee tonight for the 3rd time. So, they will face Tuckerman in the opening round of the state tournament. Tuckerman should win, unless there is a HUGE home-court advantage.
What kind of seating, all bleachers?
Visitors side is pullout bleachers and the home side just got cushions placed on them within the last couple weeks. No chair backs. Be ready to be cozy in there.

Just saw a picture of the arena on Twitter, doesn't look like it will seat enough for a state tournament.
No doubt it is too small. AAA does some peculiar things a lot of the time.

You're a little late to this party. It will help if Drew Central loses to Tuckerman but will still be pretty bad. People are really going to be happy with it raining the 2.5 days. Bring boots and an umbrella.
School isn't providing a live stream last I checked. They have local church vans as shuttles for people who have to park further from the entrance.
Any Livestream?
Oops seen it's been answered
Taking my tape measure and if it doesn't meet qualifications, I will be bringing it to the attention of AAA. A lot of good it will do, but will not go without being called out.
I wonder what logic or formula they use to schedule what days teams play. Some teams(If they win of course) have to play the next day, some get 1 day odd, some get 2 days off.

They just go down the bracket. 1 seeds play first to give them an advantage. 2 seeds play after 1-4 seed games are completed, and then from there, they just go down the bracket. Two teams get shafted by having to play back-to-back days if they win, but logistically it makes sense, e.g. the winner of Bald Knob and Junction City in girls has to play Thursday, then Friday in the quarterfinal, then Saturday if they were to win that game. The winner of quadrant 1 (girls: harding, Prescott, Charleston, Hoxie) get a day off between elite 8 and semifinals while the other three semifinalists will have to play back-to-back.
To be somewhat fair, it is my understanding that regions are rotated in regards to placement on the bracket each cycle to ensure that the teams 1,2, 3, and 4 from the parts of the bracket that are affected are not always from the same region.. Meaning, Harding Academy's region might not draw the #1 spot in the top quadrant (first four teams/two games) position in 2019-20.
That is a good explanation - thank you. I follow a little better now.

People here are super nice, the facility is just not made for it. After this, I'm about ready to go centrally located. I see few casual fans at the games, it's to out of the way. 95% are associated with a team, only reason gym hasn't been overflowing like the lakes & rivers.

Tough loses for the two river schools from northeast Arkansas Riverside girls and RiverCrest boys.
Ill say this, (wife traded spots at maumelle) drinking a few beverages, either way I have coached well over a 1000 travel ball basketball games (owning my insurance agency allows me to have freedoms that I went to college to actually do for fun) But what I'm gonna say here . Comes from a fella that's won and lost a few big games before But the fact is, coaching from the bleachers is the easiest gigs there is. (I'm as guilty as the next). But remember when posting these comments these Coaches are hurt allot worse by these losses then the parents are. They have families and have sacrificed their times with them to spend times with their players endless hours, and this is just a fact. Yes any loss this time of year hurts. Especially for Srs. Just a little non asked for two cents. GOD BLESS EVERYONE!

You won't be bigger than the combination of Drew Central and Monticello fans that will be there by Friday night.
Maybe not as big as the combination. I really don't know how many are coming. I wouldn't be surprised for it to be a lot though.
Monticello fans will only show up of their girls lose their state game in Brookland. Today's game is up in the air crowd wise since it's at 2:30 and people work. School has been getting out early all week though, so whatever faculty, staff and students who aren't volunteering are more than likely going to be in the stands. Excited for a great game. Hey you win some, you lose some. Always gotta think your team can win the game. It wasn't an easy victory. We didn't shoot our best and they shot pretty good. Same as all but one of our losses free throws hurt us. Not saying refs cost us the game because they didn't DC simply beat us. The refs did however call the first half crazy both ways but loosened some in the 2nd half. Congrats to DC the rest of the way. Now pulling for Osceola or Manila!

When Harding University puts in for State Tournament, a centrally located place, the AAA sends 3A to Monticello? Shows how much sense they have, not really excited about our kids staying down there either providing our tigers win. I wish AAA would make a smart decision just once, instead of thinking out their rear ends like usual.
Looks like the Head Lion should've been working on Free throws instead of measuring the gym capacity...🤔

I think that the state tournament for each class should be played at a school from a different classification. It would wipe out the home court advantage and be a true neutral site.

In a state not too far away with which I am familiar, they play the first two rounds at 4 regional universities around the state. That way nobody has to travel too far to play.
Then, they play the semis and finals at an easily accessible neutral site in the middle of the state.
Arkansas could do something similar with the opening rounds in places like UA, ASU, UA-M, and Henderson State. The finals could be at UCA or somewhere in Little Rock.

Hey man my team got beat. That doesn't change the fact that this should happen. I thought it before we got beat. In fact I never said anything about I felt that it cost us our game.
Think about it like this, in football the playoffs are played at the higher seeds home until the championship. The higher seed earns the right to have the game played at their home. I think we can all agree that other than fan support in football and baseball are the only in game advantage to these two sports. In basketball the advantages are different. Some think that a shooter can shoot anywhere. The size of the gym, how far the walls are off the goals. Like in the finals at Hot Springs. If a gym has really stiff rims like Drew Central. All of this can affect the game. If you play at a different classification it takes this away. How many games have you seen in this tournament where the ball went half way in and popped out. A longer than normal rebound. All of this can affect teams that haven't had to deal with that often compared to a team that deals with it everyday. Why not even the playing field? Heck even go to a setup like football where you play at the higher seed. Anything is better than how they do it. To play in a state tournament in a gym that you've never played in and not have an opportunity to at least have a shoot around longer than the 12 minutes before the game is another disadvantage.
