Fowler's and El Parian in Dardanelle aren't bad...but then again that's basically Russellville
Any thoughts on the matchups in the first round?
Charleston girls have played Jessieville this year actually in a Christmas tournament. Charleston won by 12. So these two teams do know a bit about each other.
What about the other ones?
Charleston-Two Rivers is an interesting 1-4 matchup. Two Rivers doesn't seem like a weak 4 seed on paper and it is at Two Rivers.

I would say eat at the Dairy Bar in Plainview but it recently burned. The superette has Hunt's Brother's Pizza though!
What kind of seating at Two Rivers, any chairbacks?
yes its a nice gym.

Chairbacks in lower section on both sides... bleacher seating in upper sections.
Parking behind the school...or in front. Entrances on both sides.

On the boys side I think it goes....
Charleston over Two Rivers- agreed it will be tough for Charleston in terms of a 1 vs 4. Two Rivers is not a 4 seed you want to play on their home court in a regional. They have some really quality wins mixed in with some head scratcher losses when you compare them to those wins. Charleston should win but if the streaky Two Rivers shows up who knows what may happen. This should be the best game for fans to watch in round 1 by far
Perryville over Mansfield- This should reach the 30 point mark of a win for the Mustangs
Jessieville over Cedarville- should be am easy win for Jessieville
Elkins over Paris- kind of a dud imo of a game for regional standards. I'll take the Elks in a close one
Paris playing good ball now, could be interesting.
What about two rivers vs cedarville girls game...any chance of that being good?
I wouldn't think so. Unless the Freshman I heard they moved up makes a HUGE difference. 1st rounds though can always be tricky.

Elkins has an easier round 1 game imo than Charleston when I saw this bracket come out.... What a game so far.
Timeout Gators
54-54 all. Two Rivers ball out of the timeout.
Like 1:04 to play
TR misses their opportunity. Charleston ball with around 25 seconds to play. 54-54 all.
54-54

Charleston ball
Jacob Green of Charleston has one more free throw left to break the tie with 1.5 seconds left. Timeout Gators to ice him
Charleston takes a one point lead after Jacob makes the free throw.
Two Rivers throws it out of bounds and it will be Charleston ball under their own basket with 1 second left. TR needs a miracle.

Final!
Charleston beats the host team for the nightcap and punches their ticket to state! Jacob Green makes a clutch free throw to seal the deal.
Great game.... Those are the ones you just hate to see someone lose. Congrats to Charleston and also to Two Rivers for the hard fought battle against another leagues 1 seed.
4 seed gave a 1 seed a scare!
Two Rivers was making some deep threes. Making the shots and was in the right environment for that type of upset.

Hard fought game on both sides. Those games take years off a parent's life...

Is the gym in the high school complex?
Yes. There are two entrances. You can enter at the top through the cafeteria or down at the bottom through the main gym entrance
Thanks
A freshman made five three pointers that 2nd half for Two Rivers. Talk about stepping up in the big time. I thought the game was a bit heavy in fouls. Bad calls on both sides. I would say it was a competitive game, but hard to enjoy with it being a free throw shooting contest in the end.
Perryville vs Elkins girls

Her terrible 3rd qtr about gave me a stroke. Gotta REBOUND BETTER AND STRONGER down the stretch, almost to late to fix things like this that have lingered all year! Either way tonight we let two players score almost 50 points. Players gotta adjust better. Can't rely on the coach to do that for them

On the boys side that Charleston vs Jessieville should be a great game. I think Jessieville has the slight advantage. Perryville should take care of business. Elkins was definitely up and down in peaks and valleys this year. When they play good basketball they are sound. But when they were in their valleys they lost by some score lines that were alarming.
Charleston beat Jessieville early in the season in ot.

Halfway through one of the most obviously home-court officiated games I have ever attended. Blatant and classless. The AAA needs to review this one and make sure these guys are not officiating at State.

The sad part is it probably even isn't necessary. TR has a strong team.

What game are you watching? If the reffing was so bad, why did our best player foul out?

Naw, the AAA just needs to keep away the nagging parents who complain about the refs.

I'll never Blaim losing on a reff. However to be this has been the most inconsistent reffing during this regional tournament I've ever seen. Just not good at all in my humble opinion. :) But on the boys side the most competitive Regional I've attended. GREAT GAMES!
