The first 3 conference games are going to be tough for them.

Harrisburg coach has made the statement that they will win their games in the trenches. Good luck to them. Hope they do well. I think this new coach has a great attitude and seems as though he is creating a better culture for his players.

Got one of the better 2A teams in the state first game. Going to be tough.

How does everyone's Non conference schedule look like?
Highland's got:

Harding Academy
Riverview
Valley View

Maybe get 2 wins out of it.

Also a scrimmage at Newport 8/22

TruthHurts

1. Pokey - Off the field drama soured last year--New year/new QB/Back on top
2. Trumann- Poised to have the season they been waiting on for a long time
3. Gosnell - Not as deep and not as good as years past
4. Brookland -Big O-Line/More skilled pieces than usual. Smelling a playoff birth
5. Westside - GreenWell improves this coaching staff and the team improves
6.Highland - Deion,Avery, and Maag are long gone and the Rebs have trouble finding Wins in the same places they used to be and miss the playoffs for the first time in awhile. Sterling Stowers returns to his alma mater giving a much needed boost to this coaching staff.
7.Cave city - Too many coaching changes, not enough kids. Curt Jones will do enough to keep most games competitive through the first quarter.
8. Harrisburg - New coach that is a great baseball mind.  Lots of work to do. Thornton gets his team better but it's gonna be a long haul.

I didn't make the game , but I heard both. Brookland is better this year,
How good ?   we will see in conference

bigchief72455

They had a good jr. high group last year.

Brookland0311

I've heard Brookland was probably close but maybe still a year away from being real good.  The 10th graders on this team were the first ones to be part of the Pee Wee program, the current Junior High group might be the best group of players Brookland has ever had (as a team maybe not individual talents.)  Brookland should set the school record for wins in a season this year.

The only problem is is that Pocahontas is also a year away.
