Title: Henderso State NCAA Violation
Post by: BigBobB on August 04, 2014, 10:53:34 am
I was wondering what this means to the women's basketball program. Anyone have any insight on how this impacts recruiting for them?

Can't hurt them too bad, they've finished in the bottom half of the league the past three years anyway.

Personally, I think the recruiting process is too limiting for the prospective student-athlete. I don't know why the NCAA puts such strict guidelines on the schools. I understand that the students need time to study and shouldn't be harassed but c'mon-enough already. My son was recruited for football and I know first hand how rediculous it can get, but the rules are so stringent that it inhibits the process. Seems like there could be a happy medium. I read the NCAA's ruling against the coaching staff and everything seemed pretty benign to me. It's ultimately going to hurt the recruits if you start taking away scholarships.
