So ready to get this started Mike.  Everyone should be good this year.  Everyone was young last year definitely gonna be a crazy season.  Blytheville has looked really good in a few of the warm up games and scrimmages.  We will find out quick how good we are we play Sikeston this week at Sikeston and those boys can play.

After watching both Batesville and GCT play Star City I would like to come watch the game between them. Both of them are well coached well disciplined teams. Batesville has a big bench and can run the floor on offense and defensively are very aggressive. GCT are hard nosed and got some girls that can shoot the ball. I believe they are in range when they cross half court. Good luck to both of them the rest of the year!!

Paragould's girls have a good team, but I don't know if they have a great team.    Coach Cook does an extremely good job of developing whatever talent he has; hard to see Paragould NOT making the playoffs.

In high school basketball, you almost HAVE to have a college level player to go deep in the playoffs, and I don't think Paragould has that. When Paragould went to Finals two years in a row, they had Sydney Layrock, who is now playing great at Harding University.

That's the story of the East for years before Batesville hit a big drop in talent recently.  Seems the world is right again.  There are a lot of state titles between those two programs.

I was being sarcastic. If the backups were in, then yes, you run your defense with them so they get good experience.

There is a certain logic to Forrest City's action; not saying I agree with it.

You keep the starters in the game to keep them in shape. Once conference play gets going, practices must slow down a little, so players aren't overworked. A full court press requires a lot of energy, and if you don't maintain a certain level of athleticism with your players, then the full court press is not effective. I've seen a number of AAU teams adopt this philosophy.

Personally, I don't agree with these actions. If a team relies on a full court press too much, then other aspects of their game tend to get worse. Also, staying in a full court press too long allows the competing team to get used to the press, and the press becomes less effective.

I'm quite sure the reason u said that is because u ain't seen Forrest city play they haven't made it to where they at by playing a cupcake schedule they done blew teams out that lr mills and fair done lost to..... Not to mention the roster is loaded from top to bottom to top that off they have 2 seniors that's in the top 15 in players rank in arkansas

Fair lost to central one of the worst teams in the state a team that Forrest city demolished and mills lost to Jacksonville as well let's not forget that.... But we are ranked that high because we do this year in year out it not just a one year thing for us on top of that we play in one of the top high school basketball tournaments and made it to the champions and then turned around and won the tournament championship in the pine bluff championship
