Babb named OBU athletic development director
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. (AP) — Chris Babb, sports information director for Ouachita Baptist, has been named director of athletic development, effective next week, the school announced.
Babb, an OBU graduate, will oversee the school's athletic fundraising efforts and will act as liaison between the athletics department and the university's development office.
The job is not necessarily a new one. Fitz Hill served in a similar role at Ouachita for a year before becoming president at Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock.
A search for Babb's successor is under way.
OBU is a Division II member of the Gulf South Conference.
