Agreed, Pottsville held the lead most of the game and was in it until about the final 1:00 of overtime. Great game, great atmosphere, and two great teams.

Congrats to Pocahontas!!!  Never got rattled and kept fighting. Great game to both teams!!

Did Pocahontas not have any administration at the game?  What their student section did at the end was completely out of control classlessness.  Their team deserved better than that shadow being cast on the whole program.

Yes, administration was there.  I was told the student section was planning on doing what they called a "victory lap" since they were not allowed to get in the court.  They were unaware of the fact that they were unable to pass through on the other end.  They meant no harm.  They were aware of several of the rules including the rule regarding the student section wearing costumes.

Ozark Hog

I pretty sure if the costumes were not allowed they would not been allow to enter the building. As I was going in some of the Pottsville students wearing costumes were coming in no one taking tickets said anything to them.

To be fair, the handbooks says "Do not wear extreme or unusual clothing to the game," (on page 114 of the handbook).  It's a matter of opinion if you dress like The Flash is considered "extreme or unusual clothing."

Your explanation that the Pokey kids were trying to do a victory lap shows they were excited, and hopefully the AAA will use the experience to avoid such things in the future.

I sometimes think that AAA faces a dilemma. Do they enforce their rules or collect extra ticket money. LOL. What a position to have to be in.

Ozark Hog

The  AAA is a joke they mix the conference during the year because they worry about the travel miles and then when is time to give out the bids they force teams to drive half way across the state, yeah they are really concerned about the kids. To top it all off their choice of refs to do the state finials was a joke!!!!!!!
