Looks like 2 early games will be at Joe T. and 2 late games will be at Maumelle tomorrow morning to try to get the 1st round games in for the 4A East Regional. They hope to get these in before the major rain/storms are in the area and to avoid further delays through Sat.

The PA Girls all but clinch a Central Conference Championship and a 1st seed into the 5A State Tournament with LRCA failing to win this game as long as PA manages to beat the Beebe girls on Friday.

With the PA boys winning tonight, it leaves both PA and LRCA tied at the top of the central conference with 14-1 records. Both teams each have one more game to play and both are expected to win those games; however, from my understanding right now, LRCA still clinches the 1st seed and conference championship due to head to head rules from AAA as their earlier 2-1 win against PA overrides PA's 1-0 win today (due to amounts of goals scored in games?). However, someone can correct me if I'm wrong with this. I still think the PA boys team plays like the best team in this conference, clearly proving it on the field tonight and creating the best chances, but their inconsistency lately in other games (such as Vilonia) and lack of finishing tonight (score could have been 3-0 if one on one chances were converted) costed them that 1st seed.

 

Goals scored is not a AAA tiebreaker. If the teams split head-to-head and also split in margin of victory, then the next tiebreaker is margin of victory in all conference games, with a maximum of 3 goals per game. Currently, PA is at 35 and LRC is at 38. Ultimately, PA did not win enough games by 3+ goals. LRC only had 3 wins by less than 3 and PA had 4.

Siloam Springs and Harrison will play for the 1-seed on Friday. Siloam has an edge due to winning the first matchup 3-1.

Russellville is locked in at 3.

Greenbrier and Greenwood will play for the final spot on Friday. Greenwood must win by at least 3 goals to qualify, and any other result will put Greenbrier in. Mountain Home can finish in a tie for the last spot, but do not have the margin of victory to catch either team in a 3-way tie scenario.

Hatchet I don't know nothing about your coach but I strongly disagree that Truman had enough talent the last two years to compete for top four spots. No way y'all were beat Brookland, Blytheville or Forrest City. Wynne was not very good but I felt Truman was one of the teams we might could hang with.

Coaches are going to move around and search out better opportunities, why wouldn't they? 99.9999% of people would leave their current job for a better one and then the next year do the same thing. The main question you should ask is, did the coach leave the program better than he/she found it? I'd say in "Traveling Halbrook's" case that's a yes. You have to be pretty good at what you do to continually be hired. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
