Overall top 10 to end the season
« on: December 05, 2016, 09:22:19 pm »
Not everyone ever agrees on this topic, but it is fun.  Just for grins, here is my overall top 10 now that 5A-7A is complete:

1.  Fayetteville- this should be unanimous regardless who fills out the poll
2.  Bentonville- Only team to beat FHS and after seeing NLR, I think the Tigers were better
3.  NLR- Great season, but overmatched in the final game
4.  Harber- disappointing ending, but still a great season
5.  Russellville- Congrats Cyclones, what a season
6.  GW- Wasn't expecting to put them below 5, but it was decided on the field
7.  PA- Another fantastic run
8.  Northside- Big step forward, but lacked the balance to beat the other 7A powers
9.  Bryant- Nice season, pulled off a huge playoff upset
10. PB- solid as always, just couldn't hold on in the semi's.

Geez Red, I detect a bias toward 7A, and particulary 7A West.  Do you really think Harber and Russellville could beat PA?

Looks good to me.

I think PA and RussVegas would be a great game.  Prob could go either way.  I ranked them higher simply because they have the better resume and beat better teams.  Same for GW vs PA or PB vs PA, would all be great games.

Not sure how anyone thinks me putting PA at 7 overall in the state is a knock on them.  Only 1 stat matters and they took care of that and are state champions.  Everything else is just opinion.

As for Harber, yes, my opinion is they would have beat PA this season.

That's fair enough.  Differences of opinion make this board fun.  I just wish the teams could play so we could really find out.

Even though we disagree at times, I always enjoy your posts.
