Lakeside (10) v Robinson
Two teams with high expectations in this one. The Senators look poised to make a statement in their return to the 4A-7, but in order to that, they'll need to shore up the occasional lapses that risk coming back to bite them. The Rams look to take advantage of said lapses as they prep to defend their 5A-South title.

Warren (20) v LR Christian
This one won't be so much about how much the Lumberjacks improved over the offseason as it is how much momentum the Warriors can maintain from last season. Even with the lack of experience, LRC is still expected to make some noise in the 5A-Central.

Booneville @ Pea Ridge (20)
Since the 4A-4 has its own Pick 'Em game this year, I'll reserve my commentary on this game for that post. Since that game rewards exact margins, the one I'll provide there will differ from this one.

Heber Springs (10) @ Clinton
What a strange day it is to be a Yellow Jacket. They have gone from missing the playoffs one year to being a conference favorite the next. I guess that's what happens when you combine widespread experience with talented youth. Said youth, however, still needs to prove its worth, and the Panthers counter with experience of its own, especially on defense.

Harding Academy (15) @ Highland
What do the Rebels plan to do about their defense? Last season, they allowed at least 4 TDs in 7 of their 11 games, including to these Wildcats as well as their first-round exit. On the bright side, HA could very well be no worse than the second-toughest game on Highland's schedule this year.

Stuttgart (10) @ Arkadelphia
The Ricebirds will be interesting to watch this year. They have experience and talent, and their new head coach has been able to win with both, as he has proven in his time at Dardanelle. Meanwhile, the Badgers find themselves with the need to reassert themselves, especially against a coach they beat just last season.

Farmington @ Prairie Grove (10)
This is the kind of rivalry that can go either way regardless of team quality. Take the past two years, which the Tigers are undoubtedly frustrated over. Expect the hosts to finally get over the hump and prep for another run in the 4A-1.

Nashville (20) @ Hope
The Bobcats gave the Scrappers all they wanted last year, but can they repeat that after losing their top players?

Ashdown (30) @ Monticello
Much is expected from the Panthers this season thanks to their numerous college prospects, while the Billies have struggled to regain top form since moving down to the 4A-8. Will this finally be Monty's year to make a move?
