Alright so the votes are in and here is the week 4 top ten poll decided by the fans on Fearless Friday

Please feel free to comment, criticize, and analyze in this thread by the way.

Format
(Movement in polls)Rank...Team - Points received (number of 1st place votes)

Top 10
()1...Wynne - 253 (19) - Wynne beat 7A West Memphis by 30 points and that keeps the Yellowjackets on top in our poll, but PA is starting to close in.

()2...Pulaski Academy - 241 (7) - The Bruins' 29 points beatdown of one of the top 4A teams in Warren has kept PA at it's 2 spot, but gaining ground on number 1.

(+1)3...Camden Fairview - 193 - In a very close race, CF just beats out Batesville for the 3 spot after beating a good 4A Dollarway team by 8 points.

(-1)4...Batesville - 192 - The loss to 6A Jonesboro helped move the Pioneers back one spot, but Batesville has lost to this team in the past and still made it to War Memorial.

(+1)5...Sylvan Hills - 156 - Sylvan Hills keeps winning and keeps rising after beating a supposedly solid 4A squad in Newport by 39 points.

(-1)6...Greenbrier - 98 - Greenbrier's 20 point loss to a good 6A Benton team moves the Panthers back one spot in our poll.

(+4)7...Blytheville - 84 - The Chickasaws' 51 points beatdown of 6A Marion rockets Blytheville into the top 10.

(+1)8...Little Rock Christian - 79 - LRC's 28 point win over Jacksonville moves the Warriors up another spot in our poll.

(+1)9...Magnolia - 59 - Showing that you can be impressive in a loss, the Panthers' 9 point loss to defending 6A champs El Dorado moves them up one spot in our poll.

(+4)10...Farmington - 47 - The Cardinals beat 7A Van Buren by 20 and this is recognized by the pollsters as they jump into the top 10.

GAMES OF INTRIGUE IN 5A THIS WEEK

This section is to highlight the matchups for our top ten 5A teams

1. Wynne @ 7. Blytheville - Wow, talk about a game that no one had circled to start the year but everyone does now. The Yellowjackets look to gain more respect with a big win on the road while the Chickasaws look to make everyone see them as state title contenders with maybe their biggest win in quite awhile.

2. Pulaski Academy @ NR. North Pulaski - Unfortunately for PA, they could win this 100-0 and still gain no respect. One of the few times a close win would still plummet a team in the rankings.

3. Camden Fairview vs. NR. Hot Springs Lakeside - CF has White Hall on the road next week, but need to open their conference slate with a win against what I think is a solid 5A team in Lakeside. One of those games where CF winning doesn't do much for them but losing does a lot against them. (rankings wise)

4. Batesville vs. NR. Nettleton - The Pioneers are looking for a big win after the Jonesboro loss last week. If Wynne and or Fairview were to stumble this Friday then Batesville would look to shoot up in the rankings.

5. Sylvan Hills vs. NR. Little Rock Mills - SH has to watch out for these Comets. Mills has been solid the past few years and even though they may not be as good this year, SH could gain even more respect with a big win.

6. Greenbrier @ 14. Morrilton - It's not often that you go on the road to face the defending state champs in your conference opener and be the favorites, but that's exactly what the Panthers will be on Friday. Morrilton is looking to show that non conference really doesn't matter and the Panthers are looking to start off conference with a bang. If Greenbrier takes care of business, they may rise in the polls if teams ahead of them fall. If Morrilton wins, look for a big rise in the polls.

8. Little Rock Christian @ 10. Farmington - A 2nd top ten matchup this week. Both of these teams came into the 5A West not really gaining any respect, but slowly gaining it now. Whoever wins this will ride the momentum train up the rankings.

9. Magnolia vs. NR. White Hall - Don't let that NR by White Hall fool you, this isn't a bad team. Magnolia may be a slight favorite, but they will take a 1 point win here any day. If White Hall can get a win, they will start gaining votes again themselves. Magnolia would look to jump up a bit if they win.

You know, If more fans from the central would vote, then PA would prolly be #1. Thank god they don't vote lol
