There's so much parity in 5A this spring.  In the Central there's LRCA, Maumelle, and Sylvan Hills - Sylvan Hills split with LRC and Maumelle, and the Warriors and Hornets meet up next week to determine the final seeding.  Beebe also has been a nice surprise, getting a split with Sylvan Hills and almost splitting with Maumelle losing the second game in 12 innings.  The South I think has to be Benton as the top dog.  Valley View is top in the East, and the odds-on favorite to win state.  The West is deep too with Van Buren, Russellville, Greenbrier, etc.  I'm looking forward to the state tournament.

My pick is Valley View with their pitching depth and offensive firepower but I could see a few other teams make a nice run and potentially upset the Blazers.  Every team I've seen this spring has a solid to elite #1 on the mound.  Speaking for Maumelle, I love our pitching.  We just need to find ways to manufacture runs against high level pitching.  Scoring runs may be our achilles heel when we face elite pitching.

@CoachKBo21 what are your thoughts on 5A this spring?

Hector went to it this year and seen a 50 kid bump in enrollment k-12...70ish moved in, and 20ish moved out...

As someone who has done the 4 day week. It is a lot better in my opinion as long as you have Monday off. Teacher retention and students was higher. If you have Fridays off it doesn't help your athletes or coaches in any way and makes it harder on them.
