First time at Heber Springs High School. Looking forward to a great 4A state meet.

Temperature: 72 at 10:30
No wind

I will be updating as we go along. Enjoy!

MHS, if you are able to give me these teams results:

Heber Springs
Nashville
Dollarway
Hamburg
Highland

I can update projections and such. If you aren't able to, that's cool

MHSGrad

I will text you those, if that is fine. I will post results in here as fast as I get them.

Hymes from Crossett and Ento from DW just cleared 6'5 first attempt

MHSGrad

Crossett guy cleared 6'7 on final attempt to win!

AT

MHS says Highland, Dollarway, and Crossett all have 2 in the TJ finals. Crossett is starting to become a factor in this meet.

~WPS~

Nashville first and second in shot. Rashon Lee wins.

Great for Nashville! Throwing factory there in Nashville. Always perform well at the state meet.

Do you know how Heber Springs and Highland's throwers did?

Fanofsports

I would expect Dollarway to take the high jump.  He went 6'8" last week

MHSGrad

Bump for first 3 events in the boys that have been scored

The meet is running smoothly with Nashville in an early lead with their great performance in the shot. We are now on a 15 minute break

AT

Very unofficial PROJECTIONS (not actual score)

Heber Springs - 83
Dollarway - 69.83
Highland - 60.50
Nashville - 59
Hamburg - 58

Highland and Nashville making up some ground...

Eaglemaniac

Any word on the girls meet?

MHSGrad

The girl from Crossett won the lj..Maumelle won the 4x8 by 250 meters

MHSGrad

Boys pv starts at 2:30, other field events start at 3.. Dollarway has shown up to play today, qualifying 3 in the 200 final.

200 prelims are finished. Dollarway qualified 3 for the finals later tonight.

Still awaiting word on the triple jump. MHSGrad says Dollarway had two in the finals of that.

AT

MHS just updated the first post for triple jump:

New projections:

Heber Springs – 83
Highland – 65.50
Dollarway – 59.83
Nashville – 59
Hamburg – 58
Crossett – 53

Triple jump hurt Dollarway a bit since I had them getting 15 points but only got 5...

But they are going to make up for it in the sprints it seems.

They have qualified 4 in the 100 and 3 in the 200 according to MHS.

MHSGrad

Note to self for Thursday: Bring a hat, chair, sunscreen, and 2 gallons of water

I'm getting too old for this heat

5fosters

Thanks for updates! Any updates on girls?
What events they on now?

Don't know about girls.

Boys are in the middle of the pole vault, long jump, and discus throw.

Running finals will start at 5:30. This is the order of the events:

110 hurdles
100 dash
1600 run
4 x 100 relay
400 dash
300 hurdles
800 run
200 dash
3200 run
4 x 400 relay

MHS just texted me and said Dollarway put no one into the long jump finals and that Heber Springs currently has their long jumper in 1st place with Highland's in 2nd.

MHSGrad

Crossett 37, Waldron 16.50, Maumelle 15, Heber 15 through 4 events scored

AT

MHS just corrected me and said that what he meant in the text is that Heber Springs got 1 into the long jump final and Highland got 2 into the final.

MHSGrad

UPDATE:

Carr from Jonesboro Westside just set a new state record in the pole vault at 15'7! It broke the 27 year record.

You might want to learn her name. She will be a major part of the Lady Razorback track team next year. She is the best athlete to come out of Crossett, AR in 25 years.

MHSGrad

I know her name, I was rushing to update stuff

She is probably one of the best ever, not just in Crossett.

If she applies herself on the Hill, she will be an Olympian.

AT

I'm pretty sure track and field just got it's own board and we became moderators.

Kelsey Herman. Has already signed LOI and is good to go.

This is easily the most talented group of athletes Crossett Lady's has ever had and she is at the point.

Good for Kelsey - I hope she find success at the college level and continues to excel both academically and athletically!

MHSGrad is doing a great job but they are running these races fast...

Nashville did not do as well as they hoped in discus.
