Thoughts on the magnet cove D-line...All of them going both ways and still look good..any standouts? The linebackers look good to..secondary plays hard just need some size back there.

They lost to Centerpoint a 3A school the first game of the year. Had some bad calls go against them but ypu gotta play well enough to beat the refs to

MC is winless this year. Lost a good group of freshman when they moved up. Lost their only returning OL/DL to Glen Rose. They are fighting but trying to rebuild in the process.

England 7th grade 28-14. Gave up a couple of scores late.

Magnet Cove beat Poyen 28 6
7th Grade tied 22 22

Proud of both teams!

7th grade was down by 14 with a couple minutes left and a running clock. They scored but missed an extra point to pull within 8. Poyen took over possession with a minute to go and Magnet forced a fumble. They drove down and scored and got the 2 point to tie it up! It wasn't a win but it sure was better than a loss. #12 is going to be an exciting player to watch over the next several years.

Junior High was in control for the entire game. Played great defense and moved the ball well. Had a few penalties or they would have scored another. This group of skill players could be one of the best to come through Magnet in a while. Once they team up with the SH lineman it should be exciting.
