I think you need to play your starters at least the first half, with a bye next week you don't want to give them 2 weeks off and be rusty in round 2.

There will be plenty of rest for playoffs, I say keep starters until game is sealed

This was a wild game. The only running was straight ahead, you couldn't run side to side at all due to the field being a quagmire. On a dry field I think this is a much different game.

That being said, the Birds passed the ball well. Tim Johnson was 19-24 passing for 221 yards (by my stats) and Tyion Berry had 180 yards receiving, 4 tds and made some spectacular catches. The Ricebirds we're fortunate to get a 28 yd FG from Paulo Palomino with 1:18 to win the game.
