Interested to see how Nashville's run defense responds.

Interested to see how Bauxite responds after a game they had marked down as a win against arkadelphia.

Too much clock control. Miners might only score 20 but Scrappers won't score more than 30.

After watching Bauxite and Nashville play us, I can tell you this. Bauxite is going to beat the xxxx out of Nashville.  No way Nashville can match up against them.

You mean the same Nashville that beat Arkadelphia? And Bauxite lost to Arky. Were you watching an alter universe or something  ???

Bauxite win over Robinson was a FLUKE!!! Perfect storm and a perfect night for the pit.. it won't be close if they meet up again... Robinson pass 3x in the rain.. out of character for them.  Nashville by 21!!! Nashville is solid!!!
Nashville will need to score early and often before the refs in bauxite start their home time shenanigans.....

Mr. Mercer

Will Dabbs be out of concussion protocol?

I'd rather beat Bauxite full strength so their daddies don't make excuses.

Oldbadger

I don't think the Scrappers can stop the Miners Dead "T". Miners 42 Scrappers 35.

Wipe that milk off those lips, cause the team I seen last night is bigger, faster and stronger than nastyville.   You can't believe ol orangy or ol scrappy cause they don't know xxxx.  Bauxite 42 Nastyville 10

Hey Orangecrushy is back,  after the embarrassment after HHG thought you might have quit xxxx talking but here you are.   You won't have to worry about us, we're good.  A few plays here and there and we would have beat ol arky but hey can't win them all.  I believe that's your ol saying.  Bauxite will win this hands down as ya'll are weak.  Or at least that's what I heard....

Sounds like the excuse train right there.... Well then, a few plays here and there by Des Arc and then Bauxite would have lost to 2A Des Arc by your formula of possible wins and losses...... Nashville 49 Bauxite 20

yeah? How many touchdowns were called back on bauxite last night? I believe the Badgers had 2 called back and instead of going on and scoring on the last drive when we were on the one we kept it classy and kneed it ... but after watching the game if Nashville defense doesn't step up and stop the run,s bauxite will win this one they're good at controlling the clock and picking up the little yards they need for the first down

Mr. Mercer

How are both teams health wise? I know Nashville was banged up for a few weeks, but seem to be getting healthy. Bauxite had a couple guys go out last night. Could play a big factor

Not taking anything away from Arky, but did you see the phantom block in the back?   Exactly and if we wouldn't mis cued the play before half then I think it would have been a different outcome.

JoeWho

Well, as an Ex-Scrapper fan, I can say that this year's Scrapper defense is a little under sized to stop the Miners.  Yea, I know that Scrappers beat the Badgers.  Special teams play got us in that game.  I have heard the reason for the Scrapper lost at HHG.  I would say that officiating crew may be under the microscope now.  Basically, I heard they were really bad, and that was not from anyone's fans.  I just think that if the Miners don't make many (or any) mistakes, they will run over Nashville this year.  They know they can be beat, and I hope they learn for it.  If you going to win in the 7-4a, you can not be one dimensional every game.

Bauxite!  Fans or Coaches.  You got to get a kicking game.  That miss PAT at Arkadelphia was simply awful!  Start passing a little more early in the game.  You had one good hookup you have is not used enough.  I mean I wish I could remember that kids number, but that was a good receiver that you are not exploiting.

I will call this one - Miner by 14.   That's a bid deal too.  I think you are finally going to beat Nashville!  ;)

The coach probably won't give him the ball Friday night because the star player's daddy criticized the rest of the "team" last week.

So he didn't finish the conference championship game due to head injury but is cleared "all in" before concussion protocol takes place. Sounds legit.

If the Miners play their game and to the potential that I know they can, no disrespect to Nashville, but they'll win this game comfortably. But if the game is played like last week against Arky, we could be looking at a battle or even a lost conference championship and a 4th seed. It's all in the hands of the coaches and players. preparation and short-term memory is the key this week I'm sure

He is a good player. I am grateful and hope he is able to play. Other posters have stated the same. Like I said earlier always careful with head injuries. Wouldn't want any kid to be rushed back from something like that. I am fully aware of what the AAA protocol states on head issues.

Okay, we'll give you that TD. That makes it 24 to 19 for the Badgers. However, most Badger fans were booing because they thought the REAL block in the back wasn't going to be called. Pretty plain to us. But we could hear you guys booing.

Not taking anything away from Arky,  They played well and out played us for sure.  Your QB was the difference and he was super quick.

Miners are ready for the redemption game. I'm sure after being humbled they are gonna play harder than ever.

This should be a good one. Nashville seems to struggle somewhat with power running teams and Bauxite is coming off of their first loss so we don't know how that will effect them. I'm leaning towards Bauxite in a low scoring game.

Nacho

This game will be fun...we all know it's hard to play in Nashville...now they're getting to play in the Pit...this will be a fun thread once the game starts.

From Hootens:

"Nashville at BAUXITE (1): Bauxite is the No. 1 seed with a win, and likely the No. 4 seed with a loss. The Miners led at Arkadelphia 12-10 in the fourth quarter last week before allowing a pair of late TDs in their first setback of 2018. Bauxite rushes for 313 yards weekly. Senior Dawson Dabbs has rushed for 1,193 yards and  and 11 TDs this year, while QB Seth McDowell has 17 TDs. Nashville likely finishes as the No. 3 seed with a win and No. 4 seed with a loss. Scrapper junior Carmillias Morrison ran nine times for 102 yards and three TDs in the first half of last week's 59-point win over Malvern."

Apparently they don't understand how seeding works.

2 with a win, 4 with a loss.  The Arkadelphia write up was wrong too.  Arkie can't get 2nd.

"ARKADELPHIA (40) at Malvern: The Ouachita River Rumble (hosted by College of the Ouachitas) winner gets a title belt, and each team MVP gets a scholarship. Arkadelphia can finish as conference runner-up and the No. 2 seed (if Bauxite losses Week 10) after last week's 12-point win over Bauxite. The Badgers have won four straight games by a combined 147-30. Malvern gets outscored weekly 40-7. But help arrives next year after the junior Leopards won their conference championship."

Going with Bauxite 27-24. Bauxite wins one for George C. makes up for 1922 loss at home to Nashville.

Bauxite was a monsoon away from going 0-fer the last 3 games of the regular season.  They are still Bauxite and Nashville is still Nashville.
