don't score any runs you are going to lose.

Have to generate more than 1 run to win. 

Saw a couple of good pitchers have an off day but their teams came thru with runs to win.  Saw some good pitchers get 0 run support and a error or two be the difference in the final score. 

But that is why they play the game.
