Why should a city have multiple school districts? When they get too big like Bentonville I get it, but I think Searcy is a long way from that. Like I have said it just makes the tax payers have to foot the bill for unnecessary administrators salaries. I have successfully supported my opinion as to why this district and others like it should not exist. If anyone would like to support why it should exist then by all means do so.

Well then why don't you explain to us. Why didn't those 2 schools just consolidate to Searcy High?

Because the school is zoned almost all the way out to DesArc. There are elementary schools in Judsonia & Kensett. To get to Searcy HS from Riverview HS would take another 10-15 mins depending on traffic 1 way.
Would make zero sense for kids to go to Searcy HS.

How did these teams look?

With it being a scrimmage there where two parts each team got 15 straight plays starting from the 25 Gravette started 1st ran six plays or so before getting a 1st down then drove down the field and didn't score before running out of plays, Farmington did score on there 4th or 5th play I think on about a 50-60 yard run but Gravette defense held them after that,
The next part was 2, 12 min quarters Gravette received the ball first and it was pretty much a back and forth each team getting a few first downs each and then a punt in the first quarter no score
Same deal in the second quarter with about 1:30 left Gravette got the ball and drove the field with a score.
Then the jv kids had 2 qtrs as well

From what I saw the qb at Farmington is a very good athlete, made some good sharp passes the Hobbs kid runs really hard and wouldn't go down with one hit, the line is pretty big and pretty athletic, #3 I assume is a younger kid really fast when he hits the edge, they had one big play in the 15 play drive but that was pretty much it, one kid from Farmington on the O-line was ejected for unsportsmanlike

Gravette started slow not moving the ball well in the run, made some short passes but no big plays, but settled in and put a big drive together in the end
O-line did a pretty good job opening up some holes, pretty good job protecting the qb, running backs ran hard, qbs did a good job throwing the ball only negative would have to go to the receivers dropping to many that hit them in hands, I was more impressed with the defense than the offense, gang tackling and flying to the ball the secondary did a good job with the pass defense not allowing any long balls and made sure tackles on the short stuff

Only one turnover with it being made by Farmington and Gravette getting it



Either way you look at it it was a scrimmage and each team had some good things and some bad things, looks like each time is trying to figure out where to fill a void spot

Its not racial at all. Ive heard Searcy Beebe Cabot all schools along 67/167 being called that way back in the early 90s when I lived on the LRAFB. My dad worked at Camp Robinson and those towns have blown up. Think about it. Look at Cabot compared the Jacksonville. Jacksonville use to be top classification in the state and now they are 5a and Cabot continues to blossom.
