Let's hear it.

My predictions... Fountain Lake finishes 2nd in 7-4A and Waldron wins a game, against Mena.

Proud Buckaroo

Stuttgart wins 5 games. Instead of 4, and goes off tobe national champions of the world.

Waldron will still be awful. I thought the last 2 coaches were going to make it all better? There is no fixing the lack of caring in that community.

Warren makes it back to WMS and loses against Nashville.... My final four in 4A will be Dardanelle, Star City, Warren, and Nashville.

hawgfan15

Nashville wins the state championship

Warren beats Star City (again)

Lincoln makes the playoffs under new head coach

I predict that Star City will get to 5-0 for the first time in 12 years!! That would mean finally getting past Warren! We will also win at Dollarway for the first time in 12 years as well!

AirWarren

Star city beat warren.....

Is so excited they won their super bowl and does their normal star city thang....and doesn't make it to WMS.

But hey, they beat Warren.

Proud Buckaroo

No! Star city cannot do the super bowl thing. That's stuttgart!!!

If last year is any indication then beating at least one is very possible. Playing them back to back is brutal though.

I knew I should have looked that up... Yeah that's really not that bad. However having to play @Nashville and then @Arkadelphia back to back will be brutal. I do like Fountain Lakes team this year. Ross and McCoy are a nice tandem

Yeah... It helped FL having home and home against Nash and Ark last year.  Now facing both away.  Brutal for sure.  Expecting good things from this years team... but have to see how the first few games go.

Star City will not win the title

CounterPunch

Star City wins the title and has 2 male championships in one year. And yes, we beat Warren this year, but it will only be because "they are down"

What changes have been made to where the Bulldogs can defend the forward pass? That has been twinkletown's undoing for over decade.

There's a lot of truth to that statement!

SUGARTOWN

Didn't know where to put this, but I just saw where the vote passed to allow overtime in non-conference. So in keeping with the spirit of the thread, I'll predict Stuttgart will play an OT game this year. I can't remember the last one they played.

Bold prediction. Warren is not as down as some of you think.

If we are. I'll eat my crow. And when we become one of those .500 loser teams, I'll own up to it.

If this had been in place last year,  FL wouldve had 2 OT games.  I do like this change though.  Wasnt fun leaving a game unsettled win or lose.

Nashville was clearly the better team last year and we return more starters on both sides of the ball. But WC is going to win this year... Ok

LOL

Two years ago WC had a head Coach that had lost the desire to win and several players didn't play that year because of his attitude. With the exception of one player (he transferred to Dollarway out of frustration with the previous HC before he retired), they were all back last season and they did improve under first year coach Dutton. Getting most players back from last year and adding a talented group of Sophomores has coach Dutton high on this years team and is the reason why the 5A South Coaches have picked WC to win the conference..

I wouldn't brag about being picked to win the 5A south.

Monticello was "big dog" in the 5a southeast for years. Dropped down the the 8-4a and has had their aces handed to them every since.

Did you happen to see the 08 or 09 billies play? I would only consider Monticello to have been the "big dog" during those two seasons in the 5A southeast. By the way, those teams were very good. especially in 09. Certainly would have beat Warren in 09. Probably 08 as well.

Beat them in 2008. Lost to them in 2009. That's the only time they have beaten us since 2000. So yeah, mediocre at best. Hembree owns the town of Monticello since his time at Warren.
