So this really good linebacker at Stuttgart, is he a senior?

No, he'll be a junior this fall.

The rest of the conference doesn't like hearing that. Is he more of a run stopper or someone who can drop into coverage?  Don't say both. Very few players can do both.

I have some bad news for you. Remember Waymon Johnson 4A defensive player of the year in 2012? He is cut from the same mold.

PH, if I remember correctly, he had one heck of a D line in front of him.  If coached and played correctly, which they were, your linebacker will shine. Will you have the same type of D line play that you had in 12 to allow him to shine?  I don't think that Johnson was the only one that made that team a success!

I believe the dline may be better

This team will be better on the line because they are 2 to 3 deep on both sides with no two way players. I was telling you that these classes were special they have quality and depth at all positions. And there is even more coming with this year's 9th grade class.

Any truth to the rumor that two good players transferred to DeWitt?

That happened after Christmas. Too much talent to compete with I guess.

It's no rumor it has been confirmed for a while now. Dewitt got them a good player that will be a valuable contributor. Assuming that the "names" in Dewitt don't mind their little johnny getting beat our by the transfer. That being said the senior that DeWitt got was losing their spot to a stud sophomore this year. So I really do not blame them for moving south.

I saw the field earlier in the week.  They had about 3/4ths of the turf down.  From my understanding the new track is going to be maroon to match the end zones.  Should look great.

This is correct, the track will be maroon. All of the turf is laid down now, but they still have some work to do...it's going to be real nice when completed.

DeWitt is the first game on that turf? Tough team to try to win your first game on the new surface.

A lot of folks stepped up big time with donations, we're so grateful that they did. Stadium will look even better after the maroon track is added.

A thread about Stuttgarts offseason, I would imagine it was pretty sad since their best running back and best lineman spent the off season with the DRAGONS!! Congrats on the new field, after week 3 you will own a losing record on your new field. Dragons 34 Stuttgart 6.

They might be 1-2 after week 3 but I do know that one win will be against Dewitt.
