I may be the only one, but I have away games I cannot stand, and I have away games I look forward to.

My favorite away game is Malvern,  their field and fans make it for me, the place is dated, you can go track side and really give it to the refs, often times they will have a gaggle of mouthy fans that will stand track side on the vistors side and talk trash, and the pressbox reminds me of an old fireworks stand.  All of that plays into an atmosphere I really like.

My least favorite is ashdown, primarily because its ashdown.......period.......I mean who goes there on purpose.

whippersnapper

I have enjoyed my couple trips to stuttgart. Not sure anything says high school football like hearing duck calls haha. But one I always hated when in school was Greenland. Mostly because of it being a rivalry but also because it could be such a nice facility and program but much like the town its just there.

LJ06

Favorite away game in 8-4A would be Monticello.  Its Hurley Stadium EAST for Warren.  My least favorite is DeWitt.  The drive, competition, and environment just make it miserable to me.

arklasports57

Favorite would be Nashville. Love the atmosphere, nice facility and respectful fans. Never had a bad experience there.....except for losing  :( Last game some of their fans even gave our band a standing ovation. Lol.   Least favorite, sorry Ashdown

green-eagle

When Crossett was a member of the 5A , we played four away games in Little Rock or teams near Little Rock or HWH.....three hours or mire on a bus, one way!

ShilohSaint

Favorite would be Prairie Grove. Not so much because of the stadium or anything but because it has been a fun rivalry. Least favorite has been Pea Ridge when they played in their old stadium but looking forward to the game in their new stadium this season.

Last time Nashville played shiloh........I try not to remember that game anymore than I have to.....shiloh had beaten PG like a week or two prior to that, and several of their players came up for our game, made the run through, and until frazier decided to insert his will on us, the PG guys were some of our loudest fans.

Superjack45

It's gotta be Dewitt the drive alone is terrible going through Winchester. Man the roads are bad with the curves and all but after you get into Dumas it a little better.

AirWarren

Anything in the delta to me is a miserable drive.

Never minded the Monticello drive. It was fun going to PA when I was still in Warren. Friday evening in Little Rock.

phdefense

I like the trip to Heber Springs. They are really good hosts and the atmosphere provides a good contrast to the home games in the rice land.

Clinton has been my least favorite(no this has nothing to do with you straightjacket). Subpar facilities coupled with bad attitude and overall rudeness just makes it lack luster. You just feel like you are in a run down trailer park.

Marianna and Barton would be my lest favorite places to play.. Just sad places to travel to IMO..
My favorites are Harding Academy and Heber.. No drunk fans or the need for a police escort to the parking area and plenty of places to take the family to eat before or after the game.. Clean, family friendly towns and atmospheres for a football game.. Don't need or want a lot of drama after working all week and making a 2-3 hour drive to watch a game..

Full-get-it

Favorite is Nashville. Fans are great, Awesome facilities with flat screens in the concession area. Has elevator that they say goes up to 3rd floor (press box).Least favorite has to be Dollarway...everything. is the exact opposite of what I said about Nashville

Bigbossman

Lol its interesting most folks favorites are the nicer more modern stadiums with welcoming fans, i guess im the only one that based his favorite on the 1970ish feel of the facility and the sometimes mouthy fans.........the more I think of it my favorite and least favorite share many of the same traits.

Dollarway, with it's barb wire fences and hood in the background, feels more like a juvey than football stadium.

It's hard for me to choose a favorite place. Maybe Malvern because it's always a big game with a playoff game atmosphere. I enjoy going anywhere I haven't been before.

Least favorite would have to be Shiloh because of all the rude, arrogant people. Maybe it's different now than it used to be but I doubt it. Ashdown is a close 2nd, just a dump.

My favorite away game is a tie between Hope and Arkadelphia. My least favorites have to be DeQueen and Ashdown

zarns

My favorite place to visit year in year out is Gravette. Great facility to watch a game.

Least favorite by a mile is Gentry. The Hillbilly quotient up there is unbelievable and I feel like I'm the guy with that missing 23rd chromosome they're looking for.

Being 0-2 in Champions Stadium can also make it your least favorite.  ;D

Nope I'm pretty sure it was just the awful people.

ShilohSaint

Anyone have pictures of their school's stadium? Most people don't get a chance to see a lot of the stadiums around the state.

Nice Stadium.

My favorite rival team in school was Booneville....the furthest game we traveled in school years ago was Lincoln.   It took forever it seemed.

I like Nashville's Stadium but I've never had the opportunity to see it in person. Looks nice though.

Instead of derailing this thread with such things. You have a good idea for another thread just for showing of facilities.

DogsWin7

Ummmm......didn't Ballplayer1 post the scrapper stadium first??

And Big Fan.....can't you update the Monticello Stadium??  :)

~WPS~

I'm working on an updated version of the stadiums. And yes I'll post it in another thread. ::)

It's better then Shilohs for sure. That place isn't that nice. It's extremely small and the turf is in awful shape.

Gravette's actual stands and press box is better than Shiloh's but the stadium as a whole doesn't even come close to Shiloh's. No signage at all at Gravette, no jumbotron screen at Gravette, and the field at Gravette is not even close to being as nice as Shiloh's.

Shilohs turf is absolutely awful. Some of the worst I've seen. who cares about a jumbotron. And Gravettes stadium is WAY nicer then Shilohs. Shilohs facilities as a whole are not good at all.

Just because they've got turf doesn't make it good. Especially when it's as bad as Shilohs is.

If Gravette actually had a nice grass field then you may have an argument but they don't. What Gravette has is a new stadium that is so big they fill a quarter of the stadium each week and looks like a neutral site because they have put no effort into putting any kind of signage or anything up that makes it stick out as being Gravette's stadium. I realize there isn't much football history/tradition to speak of at Gravette like there is at schools like Warren, Nashville, and Shiloh but atleast put of something to dress up the stadium!

As if dressing up the stadium Is important. Gravettes stadium, press box, field, and field house are nice. They are the second best in the conference behind Pea Ridges new place. Shilohs Turf is awful and the stadium is extremely small. Overall facilities are not good at Shiloh. With all the money they seem to have you'd think they'd upgrade the turf and a few other things.

Pea Ridge has one of the nicest venues in the state at the 4a level. It has a turf track to go along with the turf field. It also has a jumbotron that actually shows replays, unlike Gravette's. PR also built a 50 yard indoor field which is fully equipped with a weight room, locker rooms, and coaches offices.

owl84

Favorite is Dumas because it is such a rivalry game.  Fouke or Genoa Centeal least favorite because it is such a long drive.

I've been to Gravette's stadium multiple times and I had a chance to see Pea Ridge's stadium last season and Pea Ridge's stadium is much better than Gravette's.
