Lighthouse will make noise come tourney time.... there are only a handful of teams in 4A that have a legitimate shot at winning the title, and the only way to get to that level is to play tougher teams. It is hard to get quality competition in most of the conference play in 4A (especially here in south Arkansas)...I am glad that they made the trip down to play and hope that this game is scheduled again next year.  I thought that their team was much improved over what I saw play in the state tourney last year. Good luck in conference and we will see you in Batesville

How was the VB Danville Vs St joe game?

You could tell it was both teams season opener. St. Joe scored early from a comer kick and Danville tied it right before the half with a   beautiful free kick. Kicked by Danvilles defender. He has a pretty good leg on him he was also Danville kicker. And the second half was pretty tight Danville scored with a few minutes left in the game also scored by the same defender

The Warren boys team has made the playoffs every year they have had a declared team.  Their very first season, (they played 3 or 4 games as a JV team and were not in an official conference) they did not. The furthest the have gotten in the tournament was a semi-final appearance two seasons ago against Danville.  Last year, they played Dardanelle in the second round.  (which was probably the best game of the 4A state tournament last year, in my opinion) and lost 2 to 1.  Hopefully they will break through and play for a championship in the near future.

Dardanelle boys forced into KFTM wow! Could you give us more insight on that game Coach?

GF played very defensive and was able to get a PK goal after a handball in the box and was able to counterattack for another. They played for PK's after tying it at 2-2. Ultimately the better team ended up winning despite not playing their best which happens all the time in soccer. However, GF is a solid team that will make some noise in 4A.
