3A-4 Games for Tuesday Nov. 24

Paris vs Roland, OK
Charleston vs Pottsville
Lamar at Scranton
Danville at Mulberry

First two should be good games. Roland has had one of the better programs in Oklahoma in the past few years. Lost their best player Clay Conley to graduation (playing for University of the Ozarks), but still have a lot of talent and tradition. It will be the first game for Paris's football players, but they are not expected to play much since they only have a day of practice in.

It's my understanding that the Charleston-Pottsville game was changed to a benefit game. Similar situation to Paris, with the return of football players on virtually no practice. Will be interesting to see how they look against a quality opponent from the 4A class.

Still no Blake Kern for Lamar after the comeback win over Fordyce on Friday. Zederic Lee and Zach Brown should be enough for them to get past a struggling Scranton team though. Danville is also still without their best player, Jake Madding, so the Little Johns will likely struggle against Mulberry.

Yes Lamar definitely needs some help from the football team. But were not complaining yet.

Both Paris teams won. Girls by 7, boys by 10. Sloppy for both. Boys had an 18 point lead and played careless down the stretch. Big night for Hampton.

Booneville was at Hackett Classic.  Girls lost by 8 and boys by 6 to Mansfield.  Just plain did not play well enough to win.
