zebra, how do you think Hall and Pine Bluff match up against each other? (if you've got to watch them play). Two close games, obvioiusly, but where do you see the advantages/disadvantages for each. Asking because if Alma makes it, it is likely they will play one of the two.

Depends on who you ask of course......I hope LRCA will claim to be 5A West Co Champions - but it is possible they leave the Co out altogether....Vilonia will face the same question. It will be interesting to see what the respective banners hung in each school's rafters show but keep in mind there is no official award any team can pretty much claim whatever their modesty will allow them to. To be fair, this is NOT isolated to LRCA only as many teams / schools have faced a similar dilemma.

It will be interesting to see what the respective banners hung in each school's rafters show but keep in mind there is no official award any team can pretty much claim whatever their modesty will allow them to. To be fair, this is NOT isolated to LRCA only as many teams / schools have faced a similar dilemma.

The team I work for/follow will have a short state tournament stint, so I don't have a dog in the fight. I thought conference champion (when there is no tourney) is determined by record and TB points only come into play with seeding. im old and wrong alot

If this is the case then Vilonia is the conference champ by 1 point right?

I meant to address this earlier and forgot to but they have been one of the hottest teams in the 5A over the back half of conference play. Let's hope this continues in Lake Hamilton! As to why this occurred, there really wasn't any change of personnel this can be attributed to, rather a marked drop in the amount of turnovers. Taking care of the ball can pay some wonderful dividends. And it seemed as if Vilonia started winning more of the rebounding battles as the year wore on.

I don't believe points come into play for conference championships. Only the record. I think points is for seeding between record ties.
