Payton on fire.  Magee in 400m!   I could see a great 4x400m relay shaping up. PV just remains incredible.

RATTLER43

Baylark didn't finish hurdle finals.  Any info?

Haven't heard anything Rattler, but she ran that 200 meters later, so hopefully it wasn't anything serious. We need her. She may be the X-factor in our national title run.

Should also be noted that Nikki went and ran the Wanamaker Mile at the Millrose games:

1 Mile Run
9. Nikki Hiltz - 4:33.44 (PB)

Great weekend for gearing up for Tyson. I still can't decide what they are going to do with Payton. At this point, you could turn her into a sprinter/jumper almost.

Taliyah had a great long jump. We may need her to do Hep and Long Jump like she did in outdoors the year we won.

Like Rattler said, Burks Magee had a breakthrough race.

4x4 - Payton, Morgan, Baylark? Parker?

Ready to see our A team on the Distance Medley.

Pole Vault is outstanding.

RATTLER43

Wow!   4:33 is so incredible.   We could make a run at this!

Early still yet, Rattler, but where do you think our national points will come from? What are you looking for?

I'm seeing 60/200 - Jada maybe. Low chance, but higher than I thought earlier

400 - Don't think we can put Payton here and I don't think Morgan is there yet.

800 - Maybe Nikki? She needs to focus on the Mile, though.

1 Mile - Nikki top 4 hopefully. I think we'll put Werner in the 3000

3000 - Werner. Not sure where. Top 6 would be nice.

5K - We'll see

60 H - Can we afford to have Payton and Taliyah run this? Will depend on order of events like you said but if one of them could make it to the finals and just get a point.

4 x 4 - I'm looking for a trip to nationals for a chance at a top 8 finish

Distance Medley - Always a wild card event, we need to maximize points here.

High Jump - Taliyah maybe. She's stretched thin, so I won't expect it.

Pole Vault - Lexi, Tori, and Desiree need to combine for at least 15 points, probably closer to 20.

Long - Taliyah or Payton? Asking a lot of them

Triple/Shot/Weight - Won't have it.

Pent - Taliyah top 3, Payton maybe? Can she maximize points by doing this?

RATTLER43

I agree with all. I think we stretch Payton thin and double some distance runners. Kelsey may show up just in time for pentathlon too.  Will wait and see what coaches put together. But for now it really is coming together.

Dominique and Sandi may top the list.
Daina Harper who was just part of a world record.
Veronica Campbell
Paige Farrell
Whitney Jones
Amy Yoder
Tina Sutej
Chrishuna Williams
These are the names which immediately come to my mind.

Chrishuna was part of world record 4x800m relay at Millrose Games!

Two former Lady Razorbacks set WRs in past 4 weeks!!

Good news, Rattler:

http://www.arkansasrazorbacks.com/no-6-arkansas-prepare-for-home-and-road-battles/

According to this, Kenzo, Alex George, and Travonn White are all supposed to compete in the Tyson. Well actually it looks like Alex is going to Washington to run in their big distance event.

Also a high jump recruit we haven't seen yet is competing that looks like he could be a national competitor. I think this weekend will tell us how competitive the Razorbacks will be on a national scale.

I did not realize I was sitting right next to none other than.... Carl Lewis last night. He started going nuts and running down the stairs from the top row when the guy from Houston won the 60m and I looked at the person I was with and said " we have been sitting right next to Carl all night and didn't even realize it we were in our own world so much"....

RATTLER43

Impressive.  Considered by many to be the greatest track and field athlete ever.

I definitely see why his connection to the school does some self recruiting to the University of Houston in the sprints and some field events... Not really a hard sales pitch when Carl Lewis is around as an assistant.

Field events were great efforts tonight all around.... Our women's DM relay was finally on track to hit a solid time, but we had our 3rd leg in the 800m go down with about 50m left before she was going to pass to the miler. It was not good cause I heard something pop.

I really enjoyed that Qualifier meet cause it featured some great athletes from even DII and NAIA at the highest level in those divisions.

Wish I could remember the name of her.... And the 200m guys were good. One guy from USC was absolutely blazing. Always good to see a Harding runner there too. I am sure he will fair well at DII nationals. He won the 3K tonight.

Crazy to see a school like LSU down that far projected...

RATTLER43

Speaks volumes about how difficult it is to stay toward the top and how the Razorbacks have been able to do just that even with coaching change.

AT

Rattler and Beach, are you guys getting your hopes up about the men winning an NC? It doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility. Their team strength has skyrocketed these last few weeks

RATTLER43

Yes.  I can't help myself.   I love always being in the mix.

beach bum

I think we are going to do it... We have a lot of upper classmen that I think want to end their career on top.

Coverage of the SEC Championships from College Station will be  on SEC Network Plus from 3-7 today.... I'm not even going to turn the channel when the Hog basketball game comes on at 5 cause I don't want to be disappointed watching that road game at Tuscaloosa  .... I'll keep it tuned on track to keep my Hog spirits up  ;D

Hogs looked great except men's and women's long jump.  Women lead after day 1. Men in 4th.  Griffith and Bruce broke sec record in 3000.

Got to love Bruce.... Also, saw where in the women's pole vault and 3K alone in those two events we got 30 points. Lot's left for tomorrow.

60m hurdles! Burks Magee and the Lady Razorbacks looking strong.  Men are in a battle but looking good.  Kenzo!

RATTLER43

Ladies trying to hold off Georgia. Men are out of it. Alabama may win it!

Women are unofficially SEC Champions!  Men are down 7.

AT

Alabama just gave us a chance in the men's. Have to run out of our minds and win it or get 2nd.

AT

Men don't do it.

The 5K killed us. Alex George not starting is what did it.
