Pre-Week 8 Top Ten Voting Thread

Will PA Dad finally slot us into the Top 10? for all the hacking off we give him I must admit, he has always been in the "not sure Batesville is done" camp. He has always said they'll be around come the playoffs.

6.  Wynne -  I'm starting to doubt Wynne but they're obviously a good team.

9.  Alma -  barely hanging in my top 10 after the showing at  Clarksville.

You really shouldn't have Wynne ranked at number 6, they are more like 15 maybe!

1. PA - PA will be at WMS again this year
2. LR Christian - 1 loss to #1 and it'll probably remain their lone loss when the regular season ends.
3. Nettleton - Getting harder and harder to doubt the raiders. They're serious contenders this season
4. LR McClellan - Another dominate performance like they've shown all season. LRCA and PA back to back will be a tough test.
5. Wynne - The loss to Batesville doesn't drop them too much but I have SERIOUS doubts about their offense.
6. Valley View - They are playing some good football. They'll be tested in weeks 9 & 10 when they play Nettleton & Batesville.
7. Morrilton - The Devil Dogs look to be getting it together. That means trouble for anyone who draws them in the 1st round.
8. Batesville - Big win against the jackets. They're finding their stride and if the past is any indication, look out!
9. Watson Chapel - I can't argue with an undefeated conference record.
10. Harrison - The loss to Greenbrier drops them in my poll but they're still very dangerous.

Losing to Batesville at Batesville is not a huge surprise so I didn't penalize Wynne much for it. Now if Wynne had lost that game to Batesville at Wynne, I would have dropped them farther down. I did reward Batesville for the win though.

Yes, I agree 100% with Over, he's usually pretty accurate. One small spin, after PA the 5A is pretty log jammed. I wouldn't call a win by any team in any combination of 2 thru 10 playing an upset. Outside the top spot we have parity.

Just so we are all clear, PA is number one in every poll. LRCA is number two in a lot of the polls. PA is 30 points better than the second best 5A team, and it could've been worse I think.

I also saw somebody group PA and LRCA at 1/2 above everyone else....they aren't close to being in the same group.

It will be interesting to see how LRCA does agains McClellan this week if McClellan can both bring pressure and cover as well as run the ball.
