Barbaree at Gosnell has been the head coach at Carlisle, England, and Drew central

HorseFeathers

Think Greg Smith of Dover was at Prescott from 02-12 before taking the Dover spot...
Tommy Cody at Atkins has been at West Fork, Sheridan, and Woodlawn....and maybe others...

Amendment [2] is reflected on FF now.

[3] - Greg Smith - Dover Coach - Add 2 wins to Total from coaching Prescott 2002-2011 or Dover 2012-Current

Seems I remember Josh Harrison at Two Rivers had an earlier head coaching stint at Ola before leaving and then returning to Two Rivers this year. I think he has a twin brother so I may be confused about this but I don't think so.

It is Bryan Hutson's second stint at Paris.

IIRC, he also coached at NLR before said stints.

beach bum

Go Abshier go..... He will hit 200 by the postseason of next season most likely!

Harrison was HC at two rivers the last time they made the playoffs, but left for 2-3 years before coming back..

NLR is one of them...believe he took over there in 2002. But don't hold mention that year

Chris Norton at Rose Bud has three more wins from last season coaching at Lake Village. He's also coached at West Memphis Christian, but not sure if those would count since they were in a private school association.

AT

[8] - Tommy Wells - Cross County Coach - Add 1 wins from coaching Palestine-Wheatley in 2016 or Cross County Current

AT

Does anyone know what years Chase Ellis, the current coach at Hermitage, coached at Foreman?

AT

[9] - Chris Norton - Rose Bud Coach - Subtract 1 win from Total from coaching West Memphis Christian School 2012-2013, coaching at a school in Louisiana in 2014, from coaching Marvell-Elaine in 2015, or from coaching Lake Village in 2016

Thanks for checking our data.  If you see any errors let us know.

AT

[10] - Zak Clark - Springdale Coach - Add 2 wins from coaching Springdale in 2015.

AT

Updated. Coach Hyatt of Booneville is one win away from being in 100+ Win Club.

Coach Carter of Little Rock Episcopal and Coach Eldridge of Arkadelphia are both one win away from being in the 50+ Win Club

AT

Nevermind.

AT

I have to amend my last footnote about Coach Kramer. I believe I doubled up on his wins after receiving information that some radio personalities said he won his 50th game as a head coach. I don't see how this can be correct from what I've read, so I put him back at 26 wins, which I think is correct.

Amendment [11] is reflected on FF now.

[12] - Jeff Stewart - Johnson County Westside coach - Add 10 wins from coaching Gentry 2003-2006. Add 6 wins from coaching Hermitage 2007-2008. Add 1 win in his current Johnson County Westside career.

I think Harding academy coach has 1 win from a stint at foreman..

Seems he coached in Alabama for awhile, too. May be hard to pin down his full record.

dawg_days

Cody coached at Hampton in the early two thousands I believe. Not sure if those wins are counted in his total.

thedirtye

Tommy Poole had some wins from Spring Hill...he has 56 at Prescott alone

One of my favorite small features of FF that has developed over the recent years is the information on the team pages that shows the coaching record of head coaches on the team profile page.

I have compiled the list with the info that FF has gathered and put the coaches in descending order based on # of wins. This list should reflect week 1 results.

A few things that I noticed while doing this is of course not all of them are accurate. That would be a near impossible task. But I thought we could help make these records more accurate. I just have him at 1 win until someone can let me know how many wins he actually has as a head coach. The more you can corroborate your information, the better, but I'll try to find resources if you tell me what you know.

Here's the list:

Yo, I know this is way late but I did some research on Wells at Harrison and found he coached in Mizz. he has 172 wins with 102 losses. Their recent success had me wondering if he was new. Turns out he has a record for turning programs around.

thedirtye

It's way late but Tommy Poole of Prescott had won more than100 games. He has won 56 excluding this seaso at Prescott alone. Add his win total from Spring Hill

Longfellow

I've been searching but I can't find an exact total for Josh Harrison at Two Rivers. I know he has more than 9 but I can't find the stats from before 2010

What years was he there?

2009-13 was the first stint. I think I'm only missing the 2009 season though

What would be even cooler, even though it would take a ton of work, would be figuring winning percentages.

[13] - Joel Wells - Harrison coach - Add 162 wins from coaching in Missouri for 24 years.

AT

[14] - Tommy Poole - Prescott coach - Add 55 wins from coaching Spring Hill 2002-2011

A few things:

1. I've updated the win totals to the best of my ability through Week 8 of the 2017 Football Season.

bobnweaven, I was able to find articles (two of them) that said Coach Wells of Harrison had 162 wins in Missouri before coming to Harrison, but not 172. I went with 162 for now.

Longfellow, I do see that Coach Harrison was the coach at Two Rivers in 2012-2013 and that's the only years I've been able to corrobate online. Was he Two River's first football coach when they started the program in 2009? Was he the Ola coach before that in 2008?

AT

[15] - Chad Harbison - Elkins coach - Add 13 wins from coaching Harrison 2011-2014

He took over for David Minnie, whom I believe stepped down in either in 2008 or 2009...and he left for morrilton after 2013

Thanks, HF. I figured it had to be 08 or 09 he took over. If you find out a firm year then let me know. Longfellow is pretty sure it was 2008. So was that 2008 for Ola? Two Rivers wasn't until 2009 correct?

HorseFeathers

I'm thinking he took over in 2009. Longfellow would know better than me, but I can confirm Coach Minnie thru 2008.

Longfellow

I believe the 08-09 season was Minnie's last year as head coach before he moved into an admin job
