Listed below are the results of the Governing Body Meeting that was held at the Statehouse Convention Center on Wednesday, August 3, 2016

Proposal #1 Football Zero Week

To add a zero week to the high school football calendar which would be Week #8 of AAA the calendar.

Purpose: It would provide schools with the opportunity to schedule three non-conference games over a four week period and allow for more flexibility in scheduling out of state games.

Vote: Passes 161-3

Effective Date: New classification cycle of 2018-2020.

So this means what? That every team in the state will have an "off" week? 4 weeks to schedule 3 out of conference games?
