9-0 OBU has clinched a share of the conference title and can win it outright with a victory at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium.  9-1 Henderson can earn a share of the title with a victory on their home turf saturday (Harding will also have a share if OBU loses and they beat Tech).  Division II playoff positioning is also on the line.  Both teams are ranked regionally, and OBU would likely host several games if they win, whereas Henderson might miss out if they don't win.  The two teams come into the game with a combined record of 18-1, the only loss being Henderson's last-second defeat to Harding earlier this year.  This is the game to beat at in the state of Arkansas this week folks.  Tickets only cost $8.  Come watch the GAC title be decided at 3 pm this saturday.  It ought to be an outstanding game.

18-1 is the best combined record these teams have ever had going into this matchup.

One side will feature a former Parade all-American and USA Today football OPOY who led his high school team to three state football championships, who was recruited at his former college to (unsuccessfully) replace a Heisman Trophy winning QB who led his team to an undefeated season, SEC and national championship, and who in his final season as a transfer has led his team to its best start (9-0) in the school's 100+ year history.

The other side will feature a player who's already a college all-American, and an all-class all-American on "character lists" (he was captain of last year's All-State "Good works" team).  He's led his team to a 30-3 record the past three seasons, and is currently something like #16 (tied) in career TD passes (123) in college* (*NCAA FBS, FCS, DII, DIII; NAIA) football history, and #22 in career college-all-class passing yardage (13,365 yards, according to his school) and will likely go higher before his career ends at season's end.

Potential gun fight ahead.

Tigers up 21-20 at halftime.  Great game so far.

Amazing 2nd half by the Tigers, shut out HSU.  We won 41-20.  Undefeated GAC champions, headed to the D2 playoffs, most likely with a first round bye.  I'll fill in details when I've got them.
