Wait why did Hazen's boys forfeit? And if they did that would normally mean they can't participate in the offseason.
Word on Hazen is their team refused to play any longer for the coach.
Didn't Earle girls forfeit a game recently to Marked Tree? They're playing.
They did forfeit to Maumelle Charter but Hazen and Poyen boys playing tonight

it was because a benches clearing brawl against Cross County, and thats why they had to forfeit to MT...
Gotcha... well Cross County is out now.
Yes Earle did forfeit because of the fight. All were ejected for next game
Tonight's Games:
Girls 4:00 Carlisle vs Magnet Cove
Boys 5:30 Magnet Cove vs Maumelle Charter
Girls 7:00 England vs Cutter Morning Star
Boys 8:30 Bigelow vs Poyen
Any scores from tonight?
Carlisle, Maumelle and England won, I didn't stay for last game.
Is England school closed for a flu outbreak?
Was closed yesterday and today, will be open tomorrow.
Should be some good games tonight.... not calling the upset but Bigelow girls are gonna be in for a fight. Carlisle Lady Bison looking to go for three District Championships in a row.

is that the late game?
I don't think Carlisle will give Bigelow any trouble.
Carlisle and Bigelow are the first game at 4 Pick

Thanks, I was hoping to make the des arc boys 2nd round game in quitman, then catch this one. but not gonna be possible.
The Lady Bison should've won the first matchup.... lost in overtime. Plus... we know that they can win come district tournament time. They are playing at home which is a huge advantage. The Lady Bison weren't given much of a chance the past two years when they beat Earle in the championship game...by one at McCrory and last year by 19 at home. Jus sayin, I wouldn't bet against them
Any scores from tonight?
Bigelow by 20.
Thanks for the update!
England 55
MC 46
Boys
England getting blown out by Poyen.

i thought Carlisle had this one! Lol
Hope those that wouldn't bet against them got 20.5 or more points.
Who won the last boys game?
Cms over Bigalow boys 53-40
Didn't say Carlisle would win... just said I wouldn't bet against them. When you've won three district tournament in a row... you should get the benefit of the doubt at home.
Update on the finals?
Bigelow 50
Poyen 48
Final
England 69
CMS 47
Final

This is a completely different conference than past years. There are several teams that can beat you on any given night. There is no doubt that had Carlisle been in their old conference, they would be cutting down the nets again.
Old conference?! You mean beating Earle in the finals two years in a row is easier than it is now? Not so sure about that...

Earle was the only quality team in the conference, and Carlisle had their best team in years. Carlisle was expecting to compete for conference this year, but they finished fourth. This is a much tougher conference year after year. There are 4-5 teams that can beat you on any given night. It will not get any better next year with Bigelow, Poyen, Magnet Cove and CMS bringing back most of their players. Carlisle and England will have to up their game next year to be in the top four.
I agree that the conference is MUCH better. That is without question. My point is that Carlisle had to beat the defending state champions and the eventual state champions in consecutive years. While Poyen and Bigelow are quality teams... I don't think that matchup for the finals compares to Carlisle vs Earle. Regardless of the route to get there, you still have to play high caliber team to win the district tournament.

This seems like an apples and oranges comparison. Not only did Carlisle change conferences, they took graduation hits so they aren't as talented as their previous teams.

Carlisle was a contender for the past two years, but never got past the quarterfinals. This conference is tougher, but will have you battle tested an better prepared come tournament time. District Titles are good, but State Titles are better.

Lost their last two games by a combined 58 pts. More pretender than contender this year.

It won't get any easier next year either. I figure England and Carlisle will be fighting for the 4 seed next season. Bigelow, Poyen and Magnet Cove have a lot returning next season.
