Sherwood's own Jim Dent has another book coming out - the story of Freddie Steinmark. You younger guys need to know this was a University of Texas DB (I believe) that played against Arkansas in the 1969 Shootout, then subsequently lost his leg and then his life to cancer. I understand it is being looked at by a few studios to be bought for film.
Jim says he will have a book signing this fall at Books a Million in NLR to promote the release. I believe they had a release party in Dallas recently. Also, Twelve Mighty Orphans has been optioned for film also.
Sad story I 'll have to get it . Dent is my favorite sports writer.
