Calico Rock Lady Pirates defeat Viola. Co-Conference & District Champs on back to back seasons. The Lady Pirates will advance to the semifinals of the Regional Tournament (with a B.Y.E.) and therefore are the first team to punch their ticket to the State tournament.

Havent had the toughest competition but have beat them all pretty bad.  Hard to tell how good they are.  I don't know what tournaments they played in or who they played in them.

Calico Viola series has been good all year. They are two good teams in a weak conference. State 1A should be interesting after the first round.

Concord beat Acorn 10-0 last season in second round of state and beat Viola 9-0 earlier this season in the Pangburn Invitational. I'm sure Viola is a very different team than the one Concord faced early on as they always seem to turn things up come postseason.

How is Taylor?

I'm going to tell you Taylor is very solid. I saw them beat several of the top 2A schools in Smackover and some 3A schools as well. They have decent pitching but good hitting and fielding. I don't know what is up north in 1A but I would say they are as good as anyone. Anything can happen, but if I had them in my bracket, I would worry.
