We needed a backup for Kirk Cousins. If our recent track record of #8 picks continues, Penix will be great for us.

In 2022, we drafted Drake London at #8. In 2023, we drafted Bijan Robinson at #8.

We did sign Kirk for four years, so I think we are going to have Penix in the Jordan Love role. Sit and learn behind a veteran for a few years, and then when Kirk retires/leaves/whatever, Penix can step up like Jordan Love did in Green Bay.

Some great softball in baseball this week.  Watched Concord boys get to regionals after about 38 years of not going.  Concord girls prob had 1 of the best comeback I've ever witnessed down like 11-3 in the bottom of 7th.  Cornett got it done the next few years at WS is gonna be really fun.  Congrats on the winners.  Quad City Hooooooooo
