Understand from a fellow official living in Searcy that Todd Carpenter, former Girls Basketball Coach and Athletic Director at Searcy High School, passed away around midnight last night.  As many know, he had been fighting brain cancer for some time.  Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Todd was an amazing man that touched many lives, including mine. He left his mark by being such a caring individual for everyone he came in contact with. he loved his job, but most of all he loved his family. Were all going to miss you dear friend! May God be with you and your family!
