McElroy, Dority, Chambers and Chambers, Day, Moua, Williams, Suttles, ... all captured that magic of which you speak. Been a great run. Hope it continues.
It better, hope the doc can get them into the weight room in the off season.

I don't think the game would have been as much of a defensive battle with Ryan there.  His experience.  I think it would have been a 20 or 30 point game in magazines favor.  But that is a if.  If is just a wish.  We done good for what we had.  We are still a championship caliber team and the best team beat us.
great run magazine,, good attitudes, good fan base, good athelets, yall will be back

Any of these guys got any offers to play at the next level?

Epic game last night!! We usually have a multi-level offense, but that just wasn't there last night. I was very impressed at the facilities and the fan base at JC. Everyone was welcoming (except for the people sitting outside the stadium on the endzone behind the Rattler tunnel. They were pretty rude every time we walked to the bathrooms or concession stand. Yall should block that area off or put the police over in that area). We played hard and yall played harder. We are still very proud of our boys. I think this particular group of kids has something like a 63-3 record since seventh grade....not too shabby in any conference (64-2 if u count the Danville forfeit two years ago). The magic just wasn't there last night in huge part to the JC defense. Still have that Rattler pride and thankful for the great ride!! Good luck JC and hope you make it all the way!!

One player is worth four plus TD's? Holy crap, is he committed to LSU, BAMA or both?

Straight to the NFL.  :o

Or maybe cuz just slipped R60 some of that old-crow-swamp-water-kool-aid in that DDP he bought him last night. ;D

rattler60

Just saying with him in there y'all would have to respect the pass a lil more and the running game would open up.  It is a big difference with him in there. Cory would be ar wise reciever and when hforked up to catch a pass he rarely drops them. We would have had an easier trip to  little rock with him in there. yes I'm saying the offense will score 20 to 30 points against the junction defense.

There is no emoticon to express how rediculous you sound. Congrats on the run Rattlers, your boys played good ball.

alaskanstorm

no one from mag brought this up the cuz did.  You would have had to see the chambers to chambers connection in action to appreciate it, unfortunately JC never was able to.  That is the way it goes in 2a ball with injuries.

Dragon I

Just went back and looked. It wasn't cuz that said one player was worth 4 TD's.

alaskanstorm

he brought up the injury no one from mag brought it up or used it as an excuse. 4td maybe streching it but definately 2 which would've been enough.

Dragon I

And if La Tech wasn't playing for a conference title, we would have had a few extra players ourselves.
::)

rattler60

Maybe not 4 TDs but enough to beat the mighty dragons

Wilson

Dragon I . . . I'm gonna have to have a talk with Coach Dykes about the mix up.   Seeing as the game was in Ruston it was my understanding that the redshirts would be available Friday night. . . . Now that the Dawgs are going to the bowl in San Diego they should be a go for the next 2 weekends. . .thats is if the Dragons are fortunate enough to get past Strong and make it to the ship.  ;)

Dragon I

I hope so, stopping Dixon twice in one season is a tall task, a couple of big uglies on the D-line sure would help if Dykes doesn't mind!

Rattlerfan2004

Guys lets not turn this into an argument. Yes it is unfortunate we lost, but we played hard and so did junction city. But in our defense, cuz brought up us not having Ryan and wondered how it would pan out with him in the game. If Ryan was playing, our style and play calling would have been much different. Nobody knows though if it would have allowed us to win, but it definitely would have not hurt.  Ryan accounted for a lot of our scores when he played. He was a major run threat and very accurate passer. He easily accounts for 4 touchdowns in a game. I have seen it. He allowed us to score 35 unanswered against Danville to help us rally back and win this year. Again, congrats jc. Good luck next week.

First, let me say that I have the utmost respect for the Rattlers and their fans. You guys are probably the classiest and show better sportsmanship than any fans I have seen on FF. I noticed that in 2009 leading up to and after our game with you guys. It has continued even after you guys became state champions. Having said all that, no one can really say how the game would have played out with both Chambers playing. I can say for certain that it would have been a more difficult task for the Dragons. But, adjustments would have been made by both teams that would have affected the play calling decisions and offensive and defensive schemes. The Rattlers may very well have came out on top, but I think it would have still have been a tight ball game. I base my opinion on things we all learned and saw from the game Friday:

1) JC defense showed to have the speed and strength to contain the speed of the Ratttler's and limit big yardage plays. I think with both Chambers playing, the Rattlers would have moved the ball between the 20s but , as It has been noted already by Magazine posters, JC's red zone defense would make it difficult (not impossible) to score. When you take all of JC's speed and athleticism and bottle it up with a ten to twenty yard field, it becomes a lot more difficult to take advantage of scoring opportunities.

2) You have to have the ball to score. Again, as it has already been said by Rattler fans, JC's power running game and clock management limited the amount of possesions the Rattlers had. Magazine's defense did not have a answer for JC's running game for most of the game. Several Dragon drives stalled due to penalties which kept JC from getting into position to attempt to add to their lead.

Again, hats off to the Rattlers and their program. You will always have fans, friends and admirers down here on the border.  ;)

Those hecklers on the south fence were pretty rude and unexpected.

Usually those kind of fans are reserved for teams who have had limited experience with success which is obviously not the case in Junction.

There's a few bad apples in every town though.

THA TRUTH

fans mouth and no it doesnt stopp with success when u win u gett cocky thats when u mouth people wo win do it some just take it to a certain extent and those at jc arent that bad at all

There's a few bad apples in every town though.

Especially since those "fans" don't even have the decency to support their team by buying a ticket and spending some money at the consession stand or booster table.

Maybe it can be handled by installing privacy slats in the fence or filling the area in with hedges.  Hopefully the powers that be can be made aware of this and come up with a reasonable solution.

JC PIMP

the powers that b know but are too chicken s--t to do anything and then they complain about the draw at the gate because of the radio....BS....go 20 yards around the fence and collect 6 bucks from the a-holes who watch for free until then shut up about the radio broadcast taking away gate money.....and if u wanna see a rude crowd b in jc friday night when strong comes to town... it will b rowdy.

but about the game this last friday night ....it was a great game and thats all i have to say about that.

dragonator i will have to go get it. . . I loaned it out to the Ken Ramsey board back in week 8 after Bastrop was banned from the playoffs and his board had the ''Morehouse Parish Meltdown'' . . . ;)
