No problem! Been waiting for you to post on here. Britton had an incredible state meet! He peaked at the right time. He had one of the best sprint days out of all classifications.

That's the Cabot coaches' strategy. I was nervous about his times during the season, but clearly they know better.

He's going to run in all 4 events (4x400 relay w/ individual sprinting events) at the MoC, Lord willing.

Edit: our 3rd leg of the 4x100 appears to have torn his ACL. Britton may be forced to run that and drop out of the 400m.

Hey PG7, are you talking about Trey Delph from Conway? If you are, for some reason the AAA decided to invite athletes who qualified for the finals, even if they didn't finish/run in the finals, as long as their prelim times were fast enough to qualify.

Trey didn't actually run/finish the 7A 200 meter dash final...neither did Fayetteville's girls 4x100. But they both got in based off their prelim times.

Personally, I think if the AAA let's that happen, they should let all sprinters use their fastest time of the night whether it be the prelims or finals...but it doesn't look like they are doing that.

You could call them and talk about it, but their guidelines for seeding the Meet of Champs says nothing about it.

Also congratulations to Sydney. I watch him run a few times this year. Incredible athlete. 4A sprints have been tough the past few years so it's great that he's succeeding against this competition. That Jewell kid from Mena is something else. Has Sydney talked to him much?

No, he hasn't spoken too him much. They both ran on Team Elite last summer but PG doesn't see Mena until state. Do you know where Jewell is going next year? Also, thanks for the answer.
