How about those Golden Suns going into Harding territory and beating them, once again.

Ouch.

That was Harding's best chance to get at the Suns with all the setbacks they've faced.

OTOH, this could be a sign that Tech has righted the ship.  ;D

What's the story this year?  Seeing more losses than usual.

Both experience and morale are down this year.  The latter is what hurts more, though--after all, what does it say when a team only loses thrice yet doesn't make the D-II tourney last year?

GOLDEN SUNS RALLY TO STUN SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA, 82-76

Senior guard Rosie Silva scored a game-high 26 points with 12 rebounds, seven steals, and six assists, freshman Caitlin Spurgeon went a perfect 12-for-12 from the free-throw line to score 20 points, Tikeyiah Johnson added 11 points off the bench and Jessica Weatherford scored 10 as the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns (13-6, 10-3 Great American Conference) rallied from a 11-point deficit with just over four minutes to play, finishing the game on a 17-0 run to capture an 82-76 win over Southwestern Oklahoma (15-5, 10-4 GAC) on Thursday night at Rankin Williams Fieldhouse.

The Golden Suns are back in sole possession of first place in the GAC women's basketball standings following a 74-55 win over Ouachita Baptist tonight...here's a full recap:

The Suns are going to take a step back next season when Silva graduates.  Her athleticism is a whole other level compared to the D2 players she faces.

Arkansas Tech University is a conference champion for the 23rd time in the 36-year history of its intercollegiate women's basketball program.

The Golden Suns rallied from an 11-point, second-half deficit to defeat the Harding Lady Bisons 69-67 at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Thursday night.
