If I am understanding your question correctly..... yes, it happens regularly. Just these past two seasons it has happened in two classifications:

    2014 7A football: Bentonville  / 2015 7A basketball: North Little Rock
    2013 7A football: Bentonville  / 2014 7A basketball: North Little Rock

    2014 3A football: Charleston / 2015 3A basketball: LR Episcopal
    2013 3A football: Charleston / 2014 3A basketball: LR Episcopal

And it happened in Class 6A just a couple of years ago:

    2011 6A football: El Dorado / 2012 6A basketball: LR Parkview
    2010 6A football: El Dorado / 2011 6A basketball: LR Parkview

Those are the most recent. Now I am looking to see if the same school has ever won boys basketball and football the same school year, two years in a row both times. That would be quite the accomplishment

P.A is the closest to your second one...Going back to back in Basetball in 02-03...And won a football title in 03.


Little Rock Parkview went back to back in 4A Basketball in '71 and '72..Then went back to back in 5A football in 73 and 74...


And to get one that meets what you are looking for you have to go all the way back to the 40's...Little Rock High(Now Central) won Basketball titles in 44, 45, 46 and 47 and football titles in 44, 46 and 47.

Yeah I did all that research last night and did not find one instance of that ever happening. I finally figured out that if LR Central never did it, then nobody did
