Rattler, how did that happen? Could they not tell by the times that were being run that something was wrong? I remember 2 years ago that happened in the girls 3200m in the state meet in Heber.

Pick_DA_EAGLES

Almatrackster, could you do at top 10 list of events for 2a girls?

I believe des arc girls will be a force to be reckoned with at state.

Not sure.  I was at 100m starting line area for that race. When my kid ran in low 10s and is normally high 11s I knew they were short.

Lights Out

I like those picks as well......lafayette or junction?

If I had to pick right this instant, I'd say Junction City.

ghoti

after the district meet Prescott has 22 scoring opportunity's in the state meet

Eaglemaniac

Crossett girls win 8-4A district meet with 263 pts. Monticello was a distant second with 87.

True Fan

Magnet Cove girls won the 2A-5 district meet. They had 312 points. 2nd place had 97. MC qualified girls for all events at state.

MHSGrad

I really wouldn't be surprised if crossett scores close to 170 at state.. I'm shocked they didn't break 300 lol

keohog

Congrats to England Sr. and Jr. High boys teams for winning 2A-5 Conf.

bleudog

I don't know much about scoring opportunities, performance lists or projection (I don't believe in running unless I'm being chased and that doesn't happen very often), but I can understand this picture:

Congratulations to the 2013 Dragons.  Finally got the team prize.

RATTLER43

Great meet!   Great conditions and great kids.  Congrats to all.
Murfreesboro in girls and Junction City in boys.  Well earned.  JC dominated.

keohog

Congrats to Curtis Rogers of England for breaking to 2A record in 100m dash at 10.83. He also won the 200 with a time of 22.26.

Pick_DA_EAGLES

Do they give out a "high point" award in each class? If they do, who were the winners?

wildcatXC

3A Boys was Zack McGinnis from Episcopal...edged Korliss by 1/2 a point. Zack won 800, 1600, and 3200 plus was part of winning 4x800 team.

Thanks bleu!

Young miss kirby smith from des arc is pretty good for a sophomore. Looks like she may have scored the most individual points.

You're welcome.

I know little or nothing about track and field, but I would think for a young lady to win the shot put then place and show in two different hurdle events is fairly unusual.

True Fan

Very impressive. She appears to work extremely hard on technique and form to go along with her athletic ability. She's one heck of a track star.

Pick_DA_EAGLES

I believe her sisters both have state titles in track and field and or cross country. Kirby will probably lead D.A. too titles in both before she graduates.

True Fan

The Magnet Cove girls were runner up in 2011, 2012, and 2013. They are losing two seniors and have several girls who will move up and score points next year. Look for them to be the team to watch in 2014.
