Emerson was up by 30 & "mercy-ruled" Sparkman before coach cleared the bench.  Their defense was outstanding.  They better learn to shoot free throws before they get in to close games though.  I've only seen a few of their games, but Emerson doesn't look anything like the team that got blown-out by Kirby in game 1.

I don't know now the girls but Shirley/Perryville 5:45 Thursday, St. Joseph/Guy 8:15 Thursday, third place game sat at 4 and final championship game 6:40 Saturday, I know St. Joseph girls and Clinton girls are still in it.

Kirby mercy ruled them both times, may not look the same but still two 30 point games going in to the 4th. Good luck to Emerson tho. Maybe Kirby will see them in state!!

I inquired about this also. Coach has a rule that if a player gets a technical foul the player has to sit out a half. #3 got a technical in the 2nd half of their last game so he had to sit out the first half of this game.

Bigelow lost to guy by 30...wonderview has 2 wins in the season...don't know about the other 2 lol

Perryville played and Harding didn't have any football players either when they played. Harding played mostly JV kids... also they lost to Episcopal by around 20

That would've been an awful KO in that tournament.  Lots of bad teams in there.  Sometimes it takes a punch in the face to get the team straightened out.  Way to rep the conference Shirley

Well Eagle, Batman is actually my middle name, however, I DO know your real name. I got friends in high places. Lol I would concur with you about them being two of the top teams in the state, but if I did, that would make both of us wrong. Lol. I'll just stick with one of them---Shirley. Would like to see the game tho. Who knows, I may show up.

thought perryville has good team that is  well coached.  Impressed.  will beat a lot of teams.   Shirley made a lot of free throws in the 4th quarter.  Perryville Had to foul to stop number  5 and 10.   Shirley was shorthanded with 2 players out, no excuses,  but others stepped up and played well.  Thought Perryville might have lost their cool a little in the 4th quarter two intentional fouls.  One , i thought the player should have been ejected, and their coach did take him out.    His play should not reflect on how hard and well the Perryville kids played.  Shirley kept their cool and just made free throws.

Rose Bud girls beat Greers Ferry Westside 63-20.  Rose Bud boys beat Greers Ferry Westside 68-57.  Both of these games were in a tournament at White County Central.
