Warren-Booneville @ the "Rock"!!!

AF&B

i was looking on some other boards and i was thinking everyone fears booneville in football. football is not the only sport that people should fear booneville in. the cats are really good at baseball too. and sometimes basketball

Sandlizard_Hoss

I don't think the Lizards fear Booneville....We realise the talent and heart Booneville has, we just know that the Cats will fight hard and we will have to work hard Oct 27th

Guetz

From 1920 through 1994, Booneville and Dardanelle met 34 times.  Booneville won 22 of those games.

I do not have the stats 1995-2006 but I am getting them.

Ok...big deal, show me some 2006 stats then say something........exactly, you have nothing to prove, I've said this a million times, the past does not reflect a future team. Don't focus on past games.....I can guarantee that no one from the 1983 season is playin in the 2006 season therefore it has no affect on this coming season, just get ready for week 9 thats all I'm going to say, we all have our opinions.

transplant

Is anyone from the 2005 game playing?  Cause that was pretty bad too.

"SHOWKILLER"

Big deal? You can't get heart and the strong mental toughness and discipline OVERNITE. That only comes over time with countless days of practice. Our kids have run the SAME plays since 3rd grade. It's natural to them. Looking at the past, Dardenelle is not even close but I hope your on the path.

Which team are you looking at Booneville or Dardanelle?  If Booneville, yes.  On the O-Line.  On D, no one is returning that played there in the playoffs.  From regular season, only 1 is returning on D.

angelboxer69

with practice we will have a great year!!! we have a fair D line!!! little more weight couldnt hurt

Oh... the past does not reflect the future?  I can see why you wouldn't want anyone to focus on Dardanelle's less than stellar history of contests with Booneville!   :o

The past doesn't count?   ::)

The past is a reflection of a school's program and in particular the program as lead by a head coach.  So as we compare the two programs, Booneville's and Dardanelle's, what do we see?

In 44 contests between these two programs, Dardanelle's program has only been able to win 12 times or 27%, most of those over 40 years ago.  In the 15 meetings of these two programs since 1973, the Dardanelle program has been beaten each time by the Booneville program.  The Booneville and Dardanelle programs have competed 11 times in the last 13 years with the Dardanelle program losing each time to a better Booneville program.  Adding up this series of 11 games, the cumulative score stands at 394-135-0 which gives an average game score of 35.8-12.3-0 or a 3 touch down advantage of the Booneville program over the Dardanelle program.  Of the whole series of 44 games, the cumulative score is 1,068-540-0 with an average game score of 24.3-12.3-0, a little less than a two touchdown dominance of the Booneville program over the Dardanelle program dating back 85 years.

Team allegiance aside, my bet is placed on Booneville as it has an excellent history of defeating Dardanelle particularly during their recent undefeated series of 11 games against Dardanelle.

Yes, something could happen and Dardanelle could pull off a win, but their past performance indicates against this assumption and makes a Dardanelle win a low probability occurrence.

Face it, Cats are natural predators of Lizards and the competitive history proves that Cats win 73% of the time.  It is safe to say that the Lizards usually lose to the Cats!

That said, I wish the Sandlizards good luck with their 2006 football program and look forward to them being a strong contender when they meet up with the mighty Bearcats on October 27th!

:D

GO CATS GO!!  I BELIEVE!!

Booneville owns Dardanelle, maybe the Lizards can sneak out a W this year.

Thats what I'm talkin' about.

I know that Booneville has a great program just like they have in the past and I'm aware of the bad statistics of Dardanelle winning over Booneville, but I have a good feeling that the Lizards will put a good game up with the Cats

Dardanelle has the majority of its players coming back this year...3/4 of the starters on both sides of the ball were sophomores last year, but this year those sophomores have experience and have built a lot physically and how football is played on the next level.

booneville doesnt know what they are missing without jonathon rice cuz he knows how to bring the pain. without him they WONT win state.!!!!!!!!!!!!
quote "cruz waldon" northside highschool
honestly we dont need him on the team at all he would have been nothing more than a distraction on and off the field and as far as state we are going without the distraction of jonathon rice which is the best way to go

Guetz

Nah, Super Scrapper, young Bearcat is not losing his head, it is just innate Booneville enthusiasm and spirit.  You must keep in mind just how motivated a loss makes Booneville.  Why just look at what happened to the last team that gave Booneville a trouncing.  We uncanonized the Saints the next time that we met, and a fine feeling it was!  LOL  Hate to think of the tears of disappointment in the land of Scrappers after our next match up!  ;D

Smack talk aside, both teams have to get there with lots of competition in between.  I look forward to our next match up knowing that it will be a good game, well fought, and that the best team that night will take away the win.  And like young Bearcat, I know that will be the young men from Booneville bringing home a big W!

I BELIEVE!!
