Does anyone have a good understanding of which AR colleges offer the most toward CC scholarships?  And, what times, records or honors are expected to receive said scholarships?  For example: If you're a female runner you can get full/half/quarter ride to ________ if your 5K times are ________.

Trying to find some good options for a HS sophomore that is still improving but currently has 5K time of 19:00.  It seems full ride to major DI schools are not even an option until you get time under 17:00.  However, this athlete could get to 18:30 by next year or senior year and just looking for a good school with a good CC program and parents need scholarship funds...

Start contacting any schools in which you might be interested by finding contact info online. Ask the questions you need answered. It's not as easy as having a time. Some scholarships will be used up at certain schools no matter how good your time is. Plan ahead. Arkansastrackstats.net has links to Arkansas schools. There are some full rides out there but you have to be pretty good. A number of my kids have been offered partial schollies. UALR11 might have some insights for you.

If you are a female and run in the mid-18's that is very good.  Luckily to you, there is more money in the state for ladies cross country scholarships because of schools such as Arkansas Tech.  Tech has an outstanding girls cross country team given the variables.  There are SO many variables.
Most good high school runners excel academically.  PM me with more details.

If u want an easy scholarship run for UA-Fort Smith. They were picking up people and giving them scholarships that had never even ran in high school. But the program is a  joke and the coach is rediculous. Only has em running 30 miles a week and does 3 or 4 days of speedwork.
