The Infidel

I'm pleased to see the Lady Eagles do so well. In the very near future they will bring the state title back to Des Arc were it will stay for a while.

Pick_DA_EAGLES

yes the lady eagles are kinda young.

The Infidel

Yes, Pick they are young. We have some female athletes in the 7th and 8th grades that will win some championships in track and cross country when they move up to sr. high. With the group we have now and top notch coaching these girls will be tough to beat for several years to come.

Pick, wasn't sure if you'd see the thread or not, but what happened to the DA boys' team?  From defending state champs to outside the top ten.

JC dropped from second primarily due to the graduation of J D Carter (10 pts - 110 Hurdles, 8 pts - 300 Hurdles, 6 pts - Long Jump, 8 pts - High Jump).

Also saw that Paris Nelson (6 pts - 100 Meters and 8 pts - 200 Meters) and Kedarian Ross didn't participate.  Not sure if that was by choice or something to do with eligibility.  I believe Nelson and Ross ran on the relay teams last year.

It could be even worse next year with the Dragons losing Jones and Turner to graduation. :(

Pick_DA_EAGLES

bleu, i believe most of our team had other things goin on during the year. I know for the dist. Meet we had 1 at the hogs jr. Day, 1 at ole pisses jr. Day, 1 playin in the real deal in the rock and 2 more gone somewhere else. So i think thats why we dropped down. I know our q.b. Won 1 of the hurdle events, and we had a lineman place in shotput. Not sure how many players we even took to state.

RATTLER43

Got my computer back. It was a great track season; just too short.

Irwin in pole vault, Lingo in discus, Grace in the distance runs, Braddy in everything he ran or jumped, the triple jumper who went 48'. Wow, what a season. Mansfield girls won their 8th state title, indoor and outdoor, in 4 years!!!

We wallowed in our self-pity for a couple of days at letting the 2A meet get away from us but are now back to work. Hope you all had successful and enjoyable seasons.

mountainburg5

be expecting mountainburg to b in the top when we start runnin

alaskanstorm

why did you bump a thread a year old  ???
