It will be a very busy week for Booneville.  Four games in four days, three away:

Tues. at Waldron
Wed. at Charleston
Thurs. at Lamar
Fri. at Danville (doubleheader) Fri. home against Atkins

sbfan05

Bald Knob defeated Cabot 9-0 this evening. Humes was perfect in the circle, accumulating her 21 outs with 11 strikeouts and with the help of great team defense behind her.

Pvile007

Perryville    7
Bismarck    6

1-Adam-12

Booneville 20 Waldron 1.

Four batters had 3 or more RBI and McClung went yard.

sbfan05

Bald Knob (18-0) swept past the Lady Wildcats of Harding Academy by scores of 14-0 and 16-0 in five and three innings, respectively.

Booneville rolls past Charleston 10-0.  3-hitter and 12 K's for Ross who was also 4/5 at the plate.  This time it was Davis who got the big fly.

I was misinformed on both the opponent and the site for Friday's LadyCat game.  We don't go to Danville, instead it's a home game against Atkins.  That should be a dandy, but we need to get past Lamar first, at Lamar.

SBALL

Should be a good match up with Bald Knob & Vilonia on Friday

Agreed and I'm looking forward to great softball from both teams on Friday!

Before that matchup, however, Bald Knob has a tough doubleheader against Rose Bud. It should be another great evening of solid softball in BK tomorrow.

1-Adam-12

Booneville 14, Lamar 4.  Davis with another homer.

Sets up a battle for the conference lead between Booneville/Atkins tomorrow in Booneville.

1-Adam-12

Booneville 7
Atkins 0

Ashdon Ross 2-hitter and 4/4 at plate while sister Lexi Ross hits 2-run in the park HR.

1-Adam-12

Let's sum up:

Booneville had 4 wins this week, 3 in conference, while outscoring opponents 51-5.  Including the #2 and #10 teams.

I'd say that was a pretty good week.

If I can count that is 21 games, I know at least 5 of those were in the Cat Classic and these 2 were in the Smackover tourney this weekend but man they are getting close and there are teams that weren't even reporting 10 last week.

Booneville 11 Two Rivers 1 (6).

Whitney Tatum with a home run and A-Ross struck out 12.

The LadyCats are 11-5 (5-0) and have won their last 7.

sbfan05

Bald Knob (22-0) defeats Benton 6-0.

Elkins splits double header conference with Cedarville at Cedarville.

Game 1 Elkins 0 Cedarville 8 in a game shortened by a run rule. I thought it was 10 after 5 but called game at 4 1/2.
I guess because the coaches and umpires agreed they could change the rules to 12 after 3, 10 after 4, and 8 after 5. I know that is USSSA rules but I thought we were playing high school rules.

Game 2 Cedarville 7 Elkins 8 in 8 inning game.

Proud Buckaroo

Smackover 12. Fordyce 2.

Smackover is 14-8. (4-0)

BLUEBLOOD

Horatio is playing some good ball and is leading a pretty solid conference.

CoachSB00

Should get interesting if Cossatot River can finish out, which would make a showdown on the 25th to see who is conference champs.  But still a lot of Softball to be played between now and then.

1-Adam-12

Booneville with a doubleheader sweep at Danville.

Game 1 Booneville 10 Danville 2 (5)
Game 2 Booneville 15 Danville 0 (2 1/2)

Booneville remain unbeaten in conference with 6-1 win at Atkins.

Ross strikes out 13 and McClung homers.

sbfan05

Bald Knob (24-0) sweeps past its final conference foe, Cedar Ridge, by scores of 19-0 (3 innings) and 11-1 (5 innings). Humes only needed 39 pitches to strike out 8 of the 9 batters she faced and then took the 2nd game off.

Next up is a tough, non-conference contest at White Hall on Thursday, assuming the weather cooperates. It's hard to believe that the district tournament begins next week.

The Green Arrow

Bald Knob ends conference play outscoring its opponents a staggering 103-6.

Booneville has left:

Two Rivers (H) Thursday
Charleston (H) next Monday
Lamar (H) next Tuesday, Senior Day
Paris (A) 4/29 (rescheduled due to district track meet)

No district tournament in the 4-3A.

Outscored conference foes 83-8 so far.

And did so in only 8 conference games. In the circle, Humes has a .12 ERA for the season against a strong schedule. Rose Bud is an excellent team, so I expect another close contest next weekend in the district tournament if both teams take care of business.

Booneville 12, Two Rivers 0.  The LadyCats' 11th straight win.

Ross pitches a 1-hitter with 14 K's and goes 3/3, 3 RS, RBI, 2 SB.

We actually picked up 2 wins today.  Van Buren had to forfeit their win over us on 2/29.  That makes us 16-4, 9-0.

Smackover 14. McGehee 0.

Smackover is 16-12. 6-1. They own the tie breaker over CHG though. As of today, they share conference with them. When Smackover Beats Fordyce. They will outright own the conference.

Charleston played a terrific game defensively, but Booneville got just enough. Ross 14 strikeouts, over 600 for her career.
