4A will be a tough championship to win this year. Too bad its being played so far down south...

4A has some excellent teams in it. Several of them would not embarrass themselves in higher classifications.

Mena has only lost twice (Nashville, Sheridan) and knocked off Bentonville, Conway and Greenbrier, among others. I would agree with them at #1.

Booneville has three wins over Fayetteville, two over Northside and one over Alma (all ranked in their classifications).

There are some good 4A teams not ranked, for example Pottsville.

Farmington split a series with Bryant last weekend and defeated Greenwood two times in the Farmington/Fayetteville tournament. They have also beaten Pottsville and Vilonia. They have lost to Conway, Springdale Harbor and Fayetteville. They are solid and should be a force in the post season.

Ashdown has a lot of young players this year and only one Sr.  After losing several Srs. last year, they have lots of improvement to make with lots of girls playing new positions and definitely had a rocky start.  But hopefully, they will come around and make the late season run they have a tendency to make.  The first Mena game was pretty lopsided but 7 days later they showed some improvement with a 3-2 win.  We'll see.  The 4A is always unpredictable and a very competitive classification for sure.

One thing you can count on is Ashdown and Nashville improving thru the year. Never count those two out....

Knew it was a 7-4A team. Just got the wrong one.

Mena smoked us at Fay/Farm, but we kicked around the ball a lot. We will see them again and hopefully the defense will be more in order next time.

Who is your team?  Sorry, but I wasn't sure who "us" was.

I have seen a few 4A teams this year already. I have not seen Pottsville yet.  I have seen Brookland and they are very good.  I've seen Farmington and Nashville.  To me, 4A will be a dogfight in state.

Prairie Grove is coached by Dustin Beck now. they are 10-9 over all 5-1 in conference. Prairie Grove lost to Farmington, but Farmington lost to Ozark, PG beat Ozark. I think every one has one conference game left. So looks like it could be a 3 way tie for first with Farmington wining out on points. Lots of errors this year. I think their pitcher and 3rd are great, but they are my daughters so...
